Although I've been patiently waiting for the past several months, I think it might be a little premature to make a post. Am I wrong?

**I do hope this is the all DEVO soundtrack that has been rumored.

I wouldn't say it iis premature as of now. Rumors have been going around saying that trialers will be in theatres next month, and that the film should be hitting theatres in September. We'll see.

I've been keeping up with all the announements and what not on www.wesanderson.org

I am bummed that Swartzman backed out early on in the casting process. He had a shoe in position supposivily. Oh well...

imo, the only group to keep devo's insane nerdosity
from reaching critical mass has been kraftwerk.

not sure dude. Wes has mentioned he wants to do an all DEVO score for several years I believe.

And The Life Aquatic is coming out on Christmas Day fellas.

Bill Murray said recently that this is the "best movie Wes Anderson has ever made." He also said some more stuff...I'll find it later if anyone's interested...

Where did you read that it might not be out intil Christmas?I don't know if I can wait that long! I hope it comes out sooner! I read somewhere September and I also read December. Who knows? If you have any proof please give the link.

I doubt the score will be all DEVO - but I am positive Mothersbaugh will be writting it. On IMDB it says "Original Music by Mark Mothersbaugh".

I wouldn't be suprised if this is Wes's best film - I have a gut feeling it would be since he wrote and directed it without Owen (No offense to Owen of course).

Why is Bill Murray so fucking awesome?

Did you expect anyone else to head this film though? Murray has been in Anderson films since day one.

I like that he uses the same cast, for some reason it makes me feel more comfortable with watching the movie. I don't know why that is.

Maybe I feel assured it will be an enjoyable experience.

    More like day two.

I am curious to what Wes has planned for Kumar, and I'm pretty bummed that Luke Wilson has no involvement in this film.

ha you beat me to it. although James Caan(sp?) took the role of the wise older guy in Bottlerocket.

True, but, I think its amazing that Willam Dafoe is in it....

The source for Christmas Day is pretty reliable. Its straight from the webmaster of WesAnderson.Org

So far, the biggest amount of props I'll hand out have to go to the costume designer.
