fr8otech
http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?stk_co...pro&SVBName=205 I've wanted a fisheye for a long time. I didn't think it was availible for my Canon Powershot G2, but I just found this last night. Shit is expensive as a motherfucker, but it would be worth it. Anyone else have this or something like it? Check out how badass it looks on my camera: http://www.imgstudio.com/IMGphotos/2002/november/30/stamp_original/1130200212554885.jpg'> Any suggestions? (droooooooool.) ese, i have that lens on the front of that holga actually. its not bad for the 40 bucks i spent on it at b+h. im also getting a few holgas for christmas. (excitement...) seeking
you're shooting a g2, which is what, 3megapixels? do you really need a 400 dollar lens, to shoot pictures that you cant print any higher than 8x10 at most? you can get cheaper, comparable lens's for under a hundred bucks that for almost all practical applications, will work just as well. of course thats just my opinion... who knows.. Tyler Durden
yeah, like i said, the adapter thats on the front of the holga posted by ese will probably work. its not a fisheye. but its pretty wide. fits most lenses i've seen on digital stills. even if it doesnt you can get a step up/step down ring for what? 2 dollars? that and the lens is usually only 40-60 bucks itself. Try reading a little closer...see 4.0? It ain't the displacement. The idea behind going digital for me was cutting the priority of printing out of the picture. You yourself have a digital camera, what do you have against going from this: taken with a G2 stock lens http://www.raynox.co.jp/actualimage/g1-wide-pier.jpg'> To this http://www.raynox.co.jp/actualimage/g1-fe180-pier.jpg'> Also taken with my 'little G2' and then lens....you gonna front on that? I don't think you'd turn it down.

I don't think you'd turn it down. I don't really understand the craze with fish eye lenses or digital cameras. You'd have to have somewhere around 54 million megapixel resolution to equal a conventional 35 mm camera. Even then digital cameras are seriously lagging in things such as shutter speed and lense selection anyways unless you're buying a very high end model. I'd rather be shooting with an Eos 3 with an L series lense any day.
