The Hipster
bape x answer x bodé the creative people behind parkwalk have a new project called 'answer'. we told you that. we also showed you their key visual last month. only thing left to tell you/show you is their output. so here it is. answer will start their line with a big bang - in the form of a collaboration with a bathing ape and the bodé foundation. a number of bodé's classic characters have been made into t-shirt designs and will be served to the public through the regular bape outlets. here are a few pics of the ones currently available in japan. watch out for the rest of the designs later on. The Hipster
Answer Not from day one, but for a very long time now have we been updating you with what's happening at Answer / Parkwalk. The guys have finished yet another superb cooperation with Mark Bode. The new range of designs depicts a few more of the legendary cartoon characters which have been style-defining for generations of graffiti artists. Do keep in mind that you won't find these graphics (officially) on any other T-shirts. In the context of Answer we'd also like to introduce you to our new venture "The-Glade". We're providing you with a sneak preview while we're still working on it... Find more info on the latest Answer gear and purchase if you like what you see... link 1 link
The Hipster
History Park Walk was formed in 1998 by Will Bankhead. Run from Tokyo in Japan, it soon became a highly sought after label. In 2002 Will Bankhead and Emmet Keane established a company called Answer. 2002 saw the first collaboration with the estate of legendary underground comic artist Vaughn Bode. Bode is probably best known through the representation of his famous bubble letter style and his characters Cheech Wizard, Dicky Doo, Lizards and Broads by graffiti artists such as Dondi, Seen, Kel, Mare 169, Futura 2000 and Mitch. Late 2003 saw the launch of Answer as a clothing label in it's own right. A collaboration with Bathing Ape soon followed on a series on T-shirt designs. Since then the Answer has gone from strength to strength gathering a loyal following from around the globe. Design Some of the incredibly talented artists who regularly design for Answer are… * Fergadelic - Silas/Tonite * Chris Love - Love Zine (underground london zine) * Ed Gill - London skater & artist of fine reputation * Rob Dukes - Legendary UK skater and fine artist. Rob's work is regularly displayed at the Royal Academy in London. * Ben Drury - Mo Wax, ATP, Futura etc * Will Bankhead - Mo Wax, Unkle, Honest Jons, Basic Replay, PK

The Hipster
The Anthology of American Folk Music, Edited by Harry Smith, is one of the most influential releases in the history of recorded sound. Originally issued by Folkways in 1952 as three volumes of 2 LPs each. When it was initially released, the Anthology brought virtually unknown parts of America's musical landscape to the public's attention. It inspired a generation of musicians to go in search of the traditions, and, in some cases, the musicians whose recordings Harry Smith had selected to include in the Anthology. misteraven
Actually we have a small shipment of the new Answer stuff on the way to be added to http://www.fourthehardway.com . I really dig the stuff and have been a fan of Will Bankhead since the Mowax days. Fact is the wholesale on this line is pretty pricey to begin with, but when you factor in the weak US Dollar, shipping from Europe, and import duties/taxes, to even make any money you need to retail for $40-$50. A little expensive for a t-shirt, but not ridiculous when most quality shirts I see these days around NYC are in the $32 - $48 range anyhow.
