Guest imported_Europe
http://www.berlingske.dk/grafik/redaktion/3B8521EA:000015F0:7E-large-1.jpg'> This photo I found in an daily paper over here in Europe. Under the photo its mentioned that old NYC subwaycars are being dumped in the Atlantic Ocean outside Delaware. 27 cars are being dumped at 25 meters depth to create an artificail reef... Cant they find anything better to do with them???

BoB Hope ONER
apparently there was a problem with asbestos insulation in these old trains .. hence the reason they were left in the scrap yards for so long. i dont know if any of you have ever see fotos of the scrap yards with trains wrapped and sealed...well.. thats due to asbestos.. or at least thats what a worker told me.. maybe to scare me off. anyone confirm.? i heard that was one of the reasons it took so long to ok this artifical reef idea. i bet one of the VS guys who checks the site could give us insight.
