earl broclo ESQ
I've already posted this a couple times on here, but if anyone missed it, you might like the last show I did on Daily Session. http://dailysession.com/2010/02/27/session-396-funky-slice-02-26-10/ The two Santana tracks alone are worth listening to. {OneSevenNine.com}
You already now i am a Santana Fan. I own Caravanserai on vinyl. Love. I have been revisiting a lot of El Chicano as well. I recently made a Pandora station for El Chicano and am working on making it the center of my universe. I'm listening to your link right now, thanks Tio Earl!

gramatikalerror
haha no problem. i hate it when i cant figure out a song that has such a nice ass cut or break. i spent close to 6 years trying to find this song (think i posted before) it was on battle of the year 2002 i think? they only used the first 10 seconds. didnt find the song till just last year! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qj9RCRtq46g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLDalZ4-53g know everyone has seen this if you havent you should. best drum solo ever. dude was only 20 years old. i saw an interview on this, santana said he was peeking on mescaline soon after the drum solo and thought his guitar was a snake! haha this woulda been the ULTIMATE experience seeing em live at that time. my favorite of all time http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIMnZqa_XR8 if your from chicago, you blaze a fat one and drive down LSD @ 11:30 pm. earl broclo ESQ
Did anyone watch the VH-1 special documentary on Soul Train? The show was actually really good. I mean VH-1 is the epitome of disease cock when it comes to most of it's programming --but they do put out some good stuff from time to time. The Soul Train one is worth seeing. Don Cornelius talks about watching Al Green sing with a broken arm or wrist. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrgSBGP5bi0 I watch that and think to myself "WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO MUSIC?" earl broclo ESQ
Back on the Santana tip, the woodstock footage is probably one of my favorite pieces of music. And I just recently got turned on to Caravanesari. My buddy bought a box of records off a guy and it was in there. I was just amped because any early Santana is something I want. He said it was too "out there" for him and gave it to me. That record is fucking amazing. My favorite track right now is: All the Love of the Universe I also have Borboletta and play this track often: I mean Santana "Santana" is an all time fucking classic. and of course: I think that album should be in everyone collection. I watched it with me mom about 2 or 3 weeks ago and it was really good. She was telling me how she remembers all the songs, clothes, performances, and dances. It put me on a 70's binge and introduced me to some new good stuff. I think VH1 did good with it....too bad it couldn't have been longer. I think the show kind of went to crap once Don left, even thought I still liked some of the music back then (1990's early 200's)
