23rakim45
i stick to what i say. Out of ignorance or some other inner truth that's yet to be discovered by any of the million other Jordan collectors out there that can tell authentic from fake? C'mon Kobe, just take an "L" on this one, you're WRONG !

Swingmydoor
back in the mid 90's me and my dad used to buy authentic Jordan’s from people, putting an ad in the paper. we'd sell them at the Rose Bowl swapmeet in Pasadena to the japanese who would come all the way to cali for em. the ones that would get the most money were the jordan 1's, specifically the rarer colors. nike terminators got a lot of money too. usually we'd make between $400-$800 on a shoe, depending on the condition, edition and size (japanese have smaller feet)... the most we got were for the jordan 1's in white and shiny green... sold it for $1,600.. supposedly that was the biggest seller in japan... this was right before nike made jordan reproductions, so it was all authentic... soon as nike found out and made reproductions, all that shit died out and the worth of the authentics dropped... about 96 or 97 is when the trend in japan died First off PLEASE SHOW ME A PAIR OF JORDAN DS 1’S FOR 400-800 A SHOE?! PLEASE! I have to say you are wrong, since the mid 90’s Jordan’s and Nike in general have sky rocketed in prices. With the new advantage of auctions and sneaker forums and with the internet overall Jordan 1’s are probably at their all time high. I have seen a completely ds pair of 1’s in box (Jordan 1 OG boxes can probably sell for 250-300$) with the hang tag (and that hang tag in mint condition is probably worth like 150-200$ by itself) go for around 5,000 in white and metallic red. You said Jordan prices died out when Nike made retros? Are you joking me? Retros and Originals are 2 completely different markets, that’s like comparing a bmw with a V8 and a bmw with a V12. The retros have not affected Jordan prices in any way if anything they have increased popularity. Japanese are still pretty much on top of their game, the hype has shifted from the Jordan 1’s to the dunks in 99 with Nike agreed to retro the dunks in 99. Since then Japan has been in the sneaker game 5x if not 10x harder. Just so you guys know here is a pair of OG Jordan 1 low tops in white and metallic blue for sale: http://www.instyleshoes.com/nikeshoes/4289.htm Peep that price tag, and then tell me the Jordan trend died! And those aren’t even the rare color way ether!

MoeLarryCurly
so these supposedly come out next month, in July. two days ago i got the new eastbay in the mail saying these were new, so i went to www.eastbay.com - only one color on the website- in womens. i call eastbay's order line and talk to some girl and she says they are all out of stock and backordered. bullshit. anyways the point is it was damn near impossible to find a pic of these "new" jordan trunner KOs that suppossedly JUST came out, even though a few sites i leafed through said it doesn't come out until next month. fuck eastbay.
