no problem.

i've used gaim for years and it's the best,

most reliable, ad free piece of IM software.

not only can you use aim, but also, yahoo, icq,

msn, etc.

whats a good list of xp/ cpu performance tweaks for laptops? I know there been posted on here lately' date=' but I figured I'd ask re: laptops. Its my work laptop, so I'm kinda interested to see what the IT people have done for it...[/quote']

well, for starters, and if you don't have it already

tuneup utilities 2006 could be installed on it.

i wouldn't do alot to it, since it is a work laptop.

Re: «<< 12Oz Computer Tech Support >>>

wow....hmm. well, you could do it a number of ways.

first: if you know the person, there is the social engineering way.

second: brute force that shit. gotta be careful doing that. make sure you know what you'er doing. proxy server(s) etc.

third: spoof an email to the person. figure out a way to get the password or tell them what to set it to in the spoof.

Re: «<< 12Oz Computer Tech Support >>>

wireless router?

try this

start menu/run/cmd/ipconfig /release

when that's done type ipconfig /renew in the same cmd box

if that doesn't work, disconnect your modem for 35 seconds, reconnect. maybe reboot your computer

ok, if that doesn't work, disconnect your router for about 35 seconds and reconnect.

edit: by disconnect i mean pull the power cord from the back of it and count to 35 slowly
