Then bend them, and curl them. For example: See the top of your S? Instead of a outward curl, make it straight, and leave no white space. Round the bottom more, and hook it in under a line, so there is no white space on your S, and it has some style and curve to it. Then you can try to do the same to your U, P, R, and A, and then you'll have a throwie. OR Add extensions, and tabs and such to it and make a piece. But you need to make your simples 100% backwards and forewards, eyes closed and open.

basically supra.

do another one of those simples. add some 3d to it.

do it again and again and again and again (but you should actually be enjoying it, if not fucking quit) until you realise you have them down pretty good.

then keep doing them some more. eventually you will realise slight changes you can make here and there that look good but not over the top.

im not talking about over night either.

just keep practising.

there is a straight letter thread on here, check that out for some ideas of your next step.

Exactly. I've come up with not good shit, but throwies that are my own and starts of pieces that are my own from using both methods I specified threre. You can have fun with your simples by making straight letter burners and so on. Add color, shadow, maybe a character, just enjoy it.
