The term throwback has been used by myself and many others since at least ’93. The first time I saw that word in use was that year, when I came across a beautiful Mike Ditka sweater. I wanted it so bad, but I couldn’t afford it. The sticker said “throwback” on it. But I guess you just wanted to let everyone know how cool and different you are.
