The Honesty
The equation to what is wrong here. Houston's current state of graffiti is at it's all time low. The dumbasses have infected the infrastructure built by those who've pioneered the way we do things in our city. The days before snorting lines of cocaine prior to nights where missions took place. Shooting up heroin, smoking crack and meth, drinking until the liver fails, and then holding a can in your hand all of a sudden makes you the real deal. Westheimer, Shepherd, Richmond, Montrose, and other locations throughout midtown have suddenly made nobodies looking up to somebodies develop mentally-projected images of silver testicles appear between their legs. Exiles from Los Angeles and other cities trickled their way into our city and think they are rockstars when they see our city is undoubtedly different from the rest. And in that difference, they eat away at what we've had. The rich children who hail from families of Real Estate tycoons, Lawyers, Established Artists, and Senior Citizens who've collected off their retirement, have run rampant looking for something to rebel against... when the minorities who've had nothing and so desperately strived to make something that nobody else could possibly understand become drowned out in the mayhem these cancerous people have started. Being bought out of jail and detention, paying off enormous amounts of money to the city to get their rich children out of trouble, and taking them back home to their gated communities in River Oaks and Westheimer with threats of taking away their volkswagon, volvo, or mercedes benz, not to mention their allowances. The ones with no prior experience to what graffiti ever truly meant, open up shops and sell supplies to feed this ever-growing trend and make money off the rich (and poor) alike... because they have nowhere else. It's sad that these things are not kept real... but that's business, a double-edged sword. Bombing midtown to the point of ridiculousness, crews filled with rich "scene" children, the extensive use of heavy narcotics, the random spurts of violence amongst others, the identity crisis shared by 99.9% of them all contribute to what people see as our graffiti scene. there are few, a select few, who still get no shine, that actually kept and have been keeping it as real as possible. the few who keep themselves away from outside influence, the people who see the rest of YOU as their inspiration to defy the image you've spitted out of your asses. These are the thinkers forced to create machines outside of the box. The box is the problems mentioned here. Whether you're shooting random def threats at people, or taking them to the graveyard, or just living the real tagger life and refusing to lose in this game of jackasses... you are the system, and the system will cease to function. Money, Drugs, a few cans of paint, and a fight with Mom and Dad because you have to ride the bicycle around instead of the benz in no way makes you anything associated with graffiti's big picture. You perverse it. This will stop...

Money, Drugs, a few cans of paint, and a fight with Mom and Dad because you have to ride the bicycle around instead of the benz in no way makes you anything associated with graffiti's big picture. You perverse it. This will stop... what the fuck is real? i can name off a few 'rich scene children' who are/were pretty god damn real when it comes to graffiti. you seem more concerned with peoples bank accounts and living conditions than their graffiti output and when we are talking about graffiti that should be the main concern..yes? rich kids tend to get on my nerves when theyre talking their " im better than you poor guy i have 2000 dollar shoes and a 80,000 car..blah blah blah..." ..but oh well. if theyre out painting then they are part of graffiti whether you like them or not. your jealousy is shining through nice and bright green sir. I WISH I WAS RICH TOO BOO FUCKIN HOO..... while I do prefer houston 1997 to houston 2004..things change. deal with it or dont..and since youre concerned with keeping it real..why dont you let everyone know who you are? you have some interesting points..but the argument is weak. YAWN. ps. just so you know(if you dont already) im not a rich scene child taking sides with my brethren. haha. whatever.. KEEP IT REALER

BoogieWoogie
the guy's right, and wrong. i see where he's comming from, but i think his main focus was the recent sweep of gun-toting gangsters to hit our city. i think it's only a matter of time before some writer gets all twacked out at some graff show and ends up shooting someone. haha, watch that someone be me... well, in the words of my crewmates "FLIP FLIP FLIP FLIP FLIP FLIP FLIP" or however that god awful song goes. take care people... KQuas
Your equation is what is wackhere. If you were Real, this message would never be posted because you would come say something to the face of those you hate sooo much. Real is in person, not hiding behind some screen. Did somebody hurt your feelings cause this just sounds like a little girl who cut her knee. Were you left out, put down, spit on, or is it the fact that Your name or crew is not where ours is? Put some work in, stop living in the past, forget your goldern years. Midtown, Trose so what? Sorry most people dont have benz or for that fact even a bike, I ride buses. The most Real part is that you are dissing the crew that put Houston on the map DTS. Well man keep it real on your keyboard, I have a mission. Hey i'm poor give me a job fuck face. ps pics later in the week, damn why do I do this Originally posted by The Honesty Houston's current state of graffiti is at it's all time low.
