  3. My step-father went to Dubai a couple years ago and showed me pictures of them building that hotel. It's pretty crazy to think that less than 20 years that place was totally deserted, then all of a sudden they found oil! Bada-bing!

  5. I always bring my lunch to work. Most of the time I bring salads, indian food, quorn, and random left overs. Lately I've been on a noodle bowl kick. Whole Foods has a good selection.
  6. Another reason why I'm proud to be from Kentucky. I've driven by Hunter S. Thompson's childhood home countless times wondering, what was it that inspired him to write the way he did? And did he really drink that much and drive around with rifles in the back of his car? Rest in peace ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// This may help explain why why Dr. Hunter S. Thompson chose to take his own life.
  7. I gave all my copies of the first 2 issues away years ago. I wish I still had them. SEND IN SUBMISSIONS PEOPLE!
  8. I think your the first person to actually point that out, at least in a public forum where I saw it.

  11. I'm sure everyone remembers this from last year - so he is another repost just in case you don't feel like searching. ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Pepsi has stated they believe they will have to pay for about 1/3 of the 100 million songs it's giving away. That means 2/3 of the people that win don't care about iTunes. So I say, let's let them have the unlucky caps. They weren't going to cash them in anyway. Your first task is to find a store that has the coveted sugar water. Just look for the yellow caps. Diet Pepsi, Pepsi and Sierra Mist all have them. Once you've captured a bottle, use the below image as a guide to try and uncover its destiny. The secret is the angle. I've found it to be 25º, but that's really no use when you're out in the field. Just tilt it until it seems about that, and look up towards it (hold it above your head). With luck, you should be able to see under the cap. Here's what a loser looks like: It's easiest to read "again" and tag the losers because there are no random letters involved. You can spot a word like again from a mile away. If you don't see again and you have given the bottle a twist (to check from all angles), make a purchase. If not, hit the shelf. You might find it easiest to practice while not in the store. Just buy a few and take them home. Get the knack for the angle, and it isn't that hard to pull off without looking like a huge tool. ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Taken from MacMerc.
  12. I got a mate gourd and bombilla yesterday from my in-laws. They are from Chile and it made them proud to be able to put some culture into there gringo son-in-law. I'm stoked. Also - by the way, PG TIPS is pretty awesome. I've been drinking a TON of it lately.
  13. I see twinnings all the time in the grocery store my house but automatically assumed that it was garbage since it was next to all the lipton, nestea etc. I only remember seeing a red box though? I'll check it out again.
  14. I went out on a quest for tea yesterday and to my suprise found a box of PG Tips. I ended up getting it, along with some Reupublic Cinnamon Plum. I came soooo close to buying some loose leaf yerba matte, a mate' goard and bombilla straw with a gold tip. I wasn't prepared to throw down $30+ for it though. Maybe next time.
  15. Kava Kava is nice, but if I wanted to mellow out I'd take some 5-HTP - which isn't in tea from (at least I don't think so) but it sure does the trick.
  16. Sambazon Acai sounds pretty amazing - I am going to have to try to find some of that. 5+ years ago I used to work at a health food store and would stock republic teas all the time. All of those flavors are all coming back to me. Thanks for all of the info everyone.
  17. This is what I've been drinking in the morning
  18. As an effort to stop drinking coffee I have started to drink tea - especially in the mornings and at night while working. The thing is - I can't really find anything that is real potent and can pack a punch like coffee/espresso could. Recomendations? Brands?
