spent some time in my new shop today. not working, just hanging out. super stoked to be working with a dude who knows bikes. i'm gonna learn a boatload. there may be some hope yet for my fucking sportster.

6'3". got forwards. i think i need a slimmer seat i can slide just a little further back in. also probably just need to get used to the position a little more NH. gonna mess with bar angle as well. good to hear you're doing well dude.

went riding around for a bit today. thing just feels like a muscle car. it's not 'quick' like a sportbike, but it just feels powerfull. i believe 103" is around 100ftlbs torque. thats more than most smaller cars. riding position is a little uncomfortable in my hips. gotta figure something out. had same issue with my sporty. not exactly sure what combination of adjustments would fix it.

got a cover, but not as good as being inside. i dont care about riding in the rain, but just letting it sit there in the rain while im at work.... thats just depressing.

looks like a transformer. so of course i get the new bike and now its gonna rain for most of the next week. i also do not have a garage. looking into renting space in someone elses, but wont know for a bit. bumming me out bad.

dude, you got niggas counting on you.... soooooooooo........... picked up the bike today. chick had NO FUCKING CLUE what she was holding. when i went there, i knew it was 2008 with 1,900 miles, exhaust and saddle bags. when i get there she hands me a stack of receipts the previous owner (who sold it to her at 700 miles, cause he decided he wanted a wide glide instead) gave to her when she bought it. stage 2 screamin eagle big bore kit (103", 1690cc) super tuner kit air intake kit... smokes signals forward controls rinehart 2-1 exhaust saddle bags ($700!!! going on craigslist tonight!) all told it was over $7,000 in upgrades. add that to the $14,000 original price, and thats a $21,000 bike with 1,900 miles that i just got for $10k flat. to be honest, im almost scared of this thing. its so fucking fast. nothing like my little 883 sporty chop. seeks/stoked as fuck, about to start pulling shit off that bitch right now.

Think ima get rid of the chrome rinehart exhaust in favor of something black. Anyone have opinions? Vance and hines office is not too far from me, considered rolling down and checking it out. Any other suggestions?

trust me, i know. i left savannah, where at most you'd lose about a month (and even that was generally do-able, i'm just a pussy) and now i've lost half a year atleast. suuuuuucks. heres the bike. waiting to hear back so i can make incredibly poor financial decisions, like spending all the money i'd saved up to pay my taxes on this bike, so i can then ask for deferred payments for taxes. ha. obviously saddle bags, logos, reflectors etc will go. new bars, relocate the signals, blah blah. this thing is seriously tits. chick who owns it now knows nothing about bikes. bought it off original owner who put all the aftermarket shit on, then only road it 700 miles. i'm sure he had it all done at HD before it even left the door. total RUB. shit is like xmas, hurry the fuck up.

talked to a chick today off craigslist. 2008 street bob, black, aftermarket exhaust, not sure which, but looks like thunderheader, forwards, saddlebags (dont care but ill ebay em). 1,900 miles, mint condition, $11,000 OBO. i emailed offering $10. i'll do the 11 if i need to, it's a great deal regardless.

was on the phone with the dealership getting approved for financing when someone walked in and bought it off the floor. cocksucker. 2007, 10kmiles. i was gonna have it, out the door, shipped, for $9k. ridiculous deal. :( back to the hunt. if anyone knows of a 06/07 street bob for less than 10, holler at me.
