vinyl junkie Posted March 23, 2004 Share Posted March 23, 2004 i'm sorry, but homeboy has not dome shit for tattooing... he is one of the all time over-hyped tattooers as ffar as i';m concerned... as far as the actual qualirty of his tattoos goes, yes, he does saolid work... his shit sticks good, and his shading is rock solid... his lines don;t dcrack, etc... as far as the subject matter goes (and how well he draws it for that fact) i am not impressed and never have been... he has a rather poor concept of dimension... a lot of his pieces come out looking totally flat... and his subject matter is utterly repetitive... idf you've seen one paul booth piece you've seen em all... demons and nuns and horns and boobs... it gets really fucking old... the one pice of his that i was truly stoked on was a recreation of a victorian era painting (can;t remember who it was by) but last time i checkled, he didn;t even inclusde it in his portfolio... paul booth is just adored because he makes an effort to look creepy and scatters dead leaves around his shop... (on another note, i never get tattooed in a shop that does anything but tattoos and piercings... they can sell some shirts that adverticse the shop but aside form that, no... paul booth runs a fucking goth shop... fuck all that...)
