Yeah, probably should have made this in Ch.0 but was trying to boost content in Untitled. Oh well.

So this town is tiny and really chill. Supposedly, during the ski season the population doubles or triples and it turns into a pretty happening place.

Walked around town.

Checked out the houses.

This was the drain in the kitchen of the castle.

8gb321.jpg

Nice view.

8gb325.jpg

The castle had an exhaust vent.

8gb326.jpg

Good bye castle...on to the next.

8gb328.jpg

Arrived here late in the day:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuschwanstein_Castle

We did not realize you have to book a tour and that they only do a certain amount of tours a day. The line was huge so we decided to drive on to Munich and on the way back stop at the castle and do the tour.

8gb333.jpg

Arrived in Munich:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munich

8gb340.jpg

I was surprised how many people I saw wearing these.

8gb341.jpg

Uhhh.

8gb342.jpg

I guess American football is popular?

8gb344.jpg

8gb345.jpg

8gb346.jpg

Munich had a cool vibe to it. Lot's of people out on the streets and lots of people playing music day and night. Dude on the right looks pretty satisfied.

8gb349.jpg

Checked this out. Peep the bronze statue dude, he was on point.

Plenty of beer bikes around town.

Crushed another one.

8gb371.jpg

Walked to this park.

8gb390.jpg

And watched people dance.

Chilled by this fountain when it got dark.

8gb403.jpg

Listened to this band play for a bit.

8gb405.jpg

People were feeling it and the music was great.

8gb411.jpg

Then off to a beer garden before heading back to the hotel.

8gb414.jpg

Waiting for the train home. Trains in this city felt very old.

8gb416.jpg

Next morning went out and about.

8gb419.jpg

Checked this out.

8gb420.jpg

Went to lunch. really wanted to try the octopussy pizza.

8gb421.jpg

Or the horse meat, but settled for something else.

8gb422.jpg

Walked by this church.

8gb425.jpg

...

8gb427.jpg

Went inside.

8gb431.jpg

Interesting stain glass.

8gb432.jpg

Realized we were by a river.

8gb433.jpg

Clothing was optional.

8gb434.jpg

So we were walking around this park:

8gb451.jpg

...

8gb453.jpg

...

8gb454.jpg

Randomly stumbled upon this surfing session. Only person without a wet suit.8gb455.jpg

This chick ripped.

8gb458.jpg

...

8gb460.jpg

View from the bridge.

8gb467.jpg

Walked out of the park to a street fair that was having a skate demo, didn't see anybody ripping.

8gb470.jpg

They were also having these guys doing some live artwork.

8gb472.jpg

And a Capoeira demo.

8gb476.jpg

The guy with his arm extended seemed to be the leader of the group.

8gb477.jpg

It was cool that they really encouraged little kids who had no knowledge of Capoeira to get involved.

8gb478.jpg

8gb481.jpg

...

8gb484.jpg

...

8gb489.jpg

Then caught the train to the Olympiapark:

That is funny about the pics but I guess that's how it goes in certain cities. Thanks for checking the thread out, definitely been enjoying your travel thread as well.

All the different teams were posted up in the parking lot camped out cooking, drinking and having a great time.

8gb498.jpg

It was getting late in the day.

8gb499.jpg

But the race was still going on.

8gb503.jpg

Was waiting for somebody to forget to turn and head right into the drink.

8gb505.jpg

8gb508.jpg

...

8gb509.jpg

...

8gb510.jpg

Found this little cast of the city before leaving. this was not in the Olympic park.

8gb518.jpg

Booked the tour for the castle and drove out of the city. Stopped by this church(?) out in the country.

8gb519.jpg

This is an adjacent castle to the one we were going to:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hohenschwangau_Castle

8gb521.jpg

I figured these let people know what is available in the town or identifies who lives there?

8gb522.jpg

Amazing countryside. So clean and green.

8gb523.jpg

...

8gb524.jpg

Caught the bus and hiked the rest of the way to Neuschwanstein Castle.

Magical place dedicated to two rare expressions : miniature scenes with the complete collection of Dan OHLMANN's 1/12 miniature atmospheres and the unknown world of the movie shooting with the access to 500 square meters of original movie sets completed with original special effects used during filming."
