c-top
That shit is the weirdest shit I have heard in a while. Other than that this thread is great.
shai
I downloaded the album, and it's more of the same. It's not bad, in fact I like it a lot...but talk about a clusterfuck of genres.

iloveboxcars
golden animals. they have songs that sound like the doors, the animals and the beatles. so if youre into that sort of thing, check them out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CM8Vzu5DJ0U&feature=related
iloveboxcars
sleepy sun. if you were into entrance, you'll be into these guys. i wasnt sure if i should place this here or in the doom/sludge/stoner rock thread.. mainly because of the stoner rock affiliation. but this is the thread i made, so i'm going to throw it into here instead. iloveboxcars
the assemble head in sunburst sound wooden shjips ganglians. kinda more indie, but it is psych. and it is garage-y. its calm. most of their songs are slower than this one

iloveboxcars
munly reminds me of some of the "gothic country" stuff i listen to. so in connection with munly here's a couple bands in that same arena those poor bastards firewater lonesome wyatt and rachel brooke http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yO1jYmHaUis&feature=related sons of perdition tarantella

I really liked this link, but every other song I clicked on in the related videos by the same band didn't have those heavy riffs. What gives? I want more riffs!

person
I agree with you about entrance. I bought their new cd and was let down, only liked a couple of songs (but the ones that I did, I really did), and found a lot of the lyrical content trite. My friend's band, Ghost Beach. Their vocals suck, but their music is very surfy, and I wouldn't be a good buddy if I didn't plug them. Another local band worth mentioning, but may not totally fit in this thread. http://www.myspace.com/secretmessagemachine

shai
If you're gonna post Assemble Head and Sleepy Sun, then I'm gonna post something really weird- Blood Ceremony- Master of Confusion Followed by something even weirder than that- The Books- Beautiful People Beach Fossils- Wide Awake Then take it back to garage rock land- Beaters- Fishage
Gnarly Sheen
I posted in the sludge doom stoner thread.... however, some of these bands are stoner psyche or riffy blues psyche. Not garage, but could fit in either thread. The Heavy Eyes -- Pretty solid demo. They got a sabbath zeppelin heavy blues feel. They also have a demo that's downloadable too. It's riffy http://heavyeyesmemphis.bandcamp.com/ Hellbender -- Heavy, Stoner, Loud, Awesome http://www.myspace.com/hellbendermusic Currently jamming that Sleepy Sun... pretty good stuff. Also downloading this band Whooping Crane that is riffy psyche Whooping Crane -- Psyche bluesy shit http://www.myspace.com/whoopingcraneleband Heavy Glow -- Also some riff blues psyche http://www.myspace.com/heavyglowmusic

shai
The Generationals are more or less the same thing. For any of you Dead Moon fans, Pierced Arrows are going to be playing at the Black Butte Center for Railroad Culture in Weed, California on October 23...I'm trying to go, they're a great band playing at one of the coolest spots I've ever been to on the West Coast. Gnarly Sheen
That drummer is unbearable to listen to, but despite him I like the song. Soup
Hella's Zach Hill has been on heavy rotation. If it doesn't fit the thread you'll still dig it because it's got all distorted retro psychadellic noises you wanted.
