Yeah I still see some of my boys stuff running, one was done over 15 years ago, a true pioneer in the fr8 graf movement (he still is today)...

but I see the similarities already as the subways..

more writers, nearly the same number of trains. I went down to some country spots and the fr8's are clean like the white subways in the beginning. I also went down to Georgia recently and out of 30 plus cars only 12 were paintable..it's going to happen eventually...

the only thing that if different is that on the subways if you were gone over it was only a train ride to catch and deliver payback..with fr8's unless the dude is close by, the only retribution is to go over thier stuff if it gets to your city..

that in itself is why I see a bunch of fuckheads going to start going over people on fr8's without any respect or fear of getting clocked in the mouth...

then again it's a small world, paths will cross no??

Aww man... You said it!

There is already SO much in the way of freight history

that is LONG GONE! Only the flicks, and in a lot of cases

there are none, will tell the story. It's crazy to think of freights

and subways compared side by side.

The Subway would get hit and leave, but stay in the same city.

The freights get hit, and you might never see the car again, depending

on what company/line you paint. There used to be a great website back

in the day(01/02) that you could track freight cars with. But that's long gone now.

Will always love the freights though.

And don't forget that just like MTA...

A good amount of the clean freights have been

buffed out in the past 15 years. I don't really see

to many lately, although in the mid 90's I remember

seeing cars buffed all the time. Not just the numbers,

but the whole piece.

  • 2 weeks later...

that burner could not have existed without the years of groundwork laid by hundreds or thousands of writers before.

sorry to snap at you, but there is (for a long time now) a pervasive lack of interest in history among most writers that is really frustrating.

coming in saying "THIS THREAD SUCKS" is obviously gonna rub some people the wrong way. a lot of these photos are the actual personal history/formative years for a lot of people who's work you probably do like, and you may not even realize it.

THIS THREAD SUCKS!

99% OF PHOTOS ON THE LAST 10PAGES ARE CRAP.

I respect the past,

but most of these photos do nothing for me.

Thats just my opinion.

d1

if 99% of the people in those photos never picked up a can theres a real good chance you would never have either.. if you even do.. fucktard..
