username0913 Posted February 27, 2008 Share Posted February 27, 2008 Potatoe: if you want your oils to dry faster, use galkyd (made by gamblin)or Liquin( winsor and newton). both are made with modified alkyd resin, which speeds up drying time...touch dry at least. Liquin will dry really flat, so if you want that beefy oil painting look, use galkyd. it acts similarly to linseed oil, and will give the same look when it dries...dont fuck with maroger unless you really have to...use Neo-Megilp instead...same performance, less likely to kill you...i don think youd want to speed up the paint already on the surface, because you might develop cracks if the top layer dries before lower ones.
