I think the U.S. government put the foot down on them when we got into the war. Something about aiding the enemy. yeah, too many important people were boon party members. they simply just said "stop what you're doing." and left it at that. i think arrests were made later of communist sympathizers, minor boon party members, etc. i may not be completely correct. i think i'm leaving out some more important information. alot of history to remember.
