Im not saying this because I am an MSK fan either, quite the opposite. At one stage being a good writer was about having your own style, unfortunately those days are gone. Now we are in an era where people who are good at replicating get as much credit as those who work hard to pioneer a style. That doesn't seem right to me. Unless you want to do some really abstract shit like caib etc there's nothing new under the sun. They're letters! Its about who can write them better. We all know KGB and the like are straight up clones, but they get massive props for smashing panels and doing consistent productions. It's unfortunate that graff has turned into a sport of who can do the most/cleanest etc rather than who is unique, but that's just the way it is. All you can hope for is that people try and put they're own twist on things. As time goes on so many writers have come before you, and it's becoming harder for newer writers to get away with anything without some bitter old fart from "back in the days" claiming the style belongs to someone else.
