Please don't let this happen to your pet. I read a small bit about them things a long time ago, and they sound scary. They can happen to humans too. Usually you gotta be barefoot walking through a type of environment where they breed. Whatever that is... swampy muddy jungle-type areas I guess. They burrow through your feet, get in your blood stream, and since they're asexual, they reproduce in your blood stream by the numbers and follow your veins back to your heart and eat holes out of your heart until you die.
