skullnbones Posted June 23, 2004 Share Posted June 23, 2004 working with an environmental agency and found some infestations of a beetle which is not supposed to be in the country. it begins as a grub which lives in, eats and destroys dead pine such as that which is used in the construction of homes. it then grows into a flying beetle which spreads mates and multiplys by about 300. untill today there were only two minor cases found and they were hoping they were the first lot and there were no more. you could say today we discovered what seems to be the "mother load". the environmental blokes said if it has already spread and it probably has then it could be catastrophic. :eek: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
