Tribal_Man
lets just face it Canada(which i live in) and the Good ol' U.S of A are both being retards by spending insane amounts of money on controling where people bring a plant and what they do with it. Besides looking at the big picture edventualy if pot is decriminalized it will be viewed like smoking is (atleast where i live) as a dirty but still used drug. The prison system has become a cash generating industry. There's way more people incarcerated than ever before and there is very little social change to keep people out of jail. (hence the relevance to need to update soft drug laws) those were some of Wimsatt points in the begining of the book. That's the point I hoped people would get. (not like rip's read the book anyways) ----- I do agree with Soc though, If you haven't read it, please dont misquote it. And if you just didn't get it, read it again. JohnnyHorton
The law is already pretty lax about this kind of stuff where I live, it's like they're always saying - they have bigger fish to fry then some kids getting stoned... Coke is a huge drug where I live in Alberta... thats what most of the narcotics guys here spend their time busting, not the marijuana (which comes right across from BC... boo yeah) Either way... decrimming bud is going to be great for reductions in organized crime, if people can grow this stuff in their backyards who's going to go and pay for it?
