is fruity loops actually a worthwile program? ive messed around with a few progs in my day but their all fuckin stupid with pre-programmed loops and a constant bpm like programmed into the fucking thing but fl looks like it has potential...

can decent material be produced usin that program?

now of course i know it wont be as good as using real equipment with a setup etc.... or an mpc whateverthefuckever but im sayin can decent shit actually be put together with that as-is or....

do i need plug-ins or...

no nothing worthwhile sounding can come out of that...?

A note on techno

Drums 'n' Bass, baby. You want your music like you want your mind: In a Trance. Moooove to the groooooves. Become the music!

As everyone knows, Chemical Brothers is one of the top Raver groups out there. Rush out and buy all their records! Of course, most rave music is about the DJ. The better the DJ, expect to pay more for the Rave. If you are really cool, here are some dj's that you should hire for your super duper cool rave:

DJ Dan

Diesel Boy - you have to look at the cover of this album - he is being served by teletubbies. HEHEH

Anabolic Frolic - haaaapy hardcore!

DJ Bractune - best industrial..I mean..techno DJ in Los Angeles!

Mark Farina

anabrolic frolic is dope.

Rave today is considered Hardstyle...it used to be called Rave.

but i'll stick to trance thank you very much :D

i'm experimenting other genres though :)

yes you definetly can do brilliant work with fruity. downloadable vst plugins is a+. all the effects processing its overwhelming and endless. there is so much to be done. bpm up to 999 which is fucking crazy if you make a song that fast (i believe i took a 12 minute track and cranked it up to 999bpm from 140bpm and ended up with like 30 seconds of material).

theres synth all there. all the sampling you can do. piano rolls. blah blha. theres millions of things to be done.

i heard hardware was where it was at so i bought a roland mc-307 and discovered that is was a piece of shit. so god dam limited. no sampling could be done and bpm only made it to 310 i beleive.

just think...fruityloops is everything all together on your computer as opposed to having to buy a synth, sampler, drum machine, and whatever else (effects processors...etc..).

it took me some time to get fruity down but the shit i do now is like burning someone using fire.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For Mixers ( all have phantom power with the mic above require )

Behringer: makes a huge line of cheap yet effective mixers, from personal to console

-6 channel Eurorack $69 http://www.zzounds.com/love.music?p...z=1353581330836

-12 channel Eurorack $169 http://www.zzounds.com/love.music?p...z=1353581330836

-and they have a million more than what i list

Cables

* http://www.zzounds.com/index.music?f=4288 *

Xlr, 1/4", and 1/4" to 1/8" adaptors are gonna be needed, and lots of the cables

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Soundcards 24bit is the recording standard, even though 16bit is what cds are done at

cuz u lower the bit rate after recordin in 24bit to 16 bit, its simple stuff if it sounded hard.

Personally i like soundcards with breakboxes ( an external box that u plug u're mics and stuff

into that attaches to the soundcard ) but not needed. Yes there are other soundcard out there but

these are what i like personally and have seen or messed with.

what a waste. dam. even if you wanted to use hardware, you can connect it to your computer to do other shit. i dont know...computers are the way to go...

true half the shit you buy for like 2/300$ will on improve slightly in one area or another...

im sure in the long run if your not gonna open up your own studio (basement or otherwise) a fast dedicated computer would be the way to go

lots of memory, lots of ram, a good soundcard , cd burner, the right software and maybe a keyboard then your all set

thats why i like logic audio because you can program midi to the keyboard in like two clicks and set up the keyboard however you want it through the computer and not the keyboard....

does fruity loops support keyboards?(computer keyboards i mean) so say i have a full range piano on screen i can do shit like type

zzncncnzmm and have the corrosponding keys be played audioably(yea i made that shit up myself) in real time?

i dont use the midi shit but as far as i know...

it supports keyboards. theres all kinds of midi shit there and there is also a pianoroll in there as well so you can ice off the whole time you shit your pants. its nice. im sure its all in real time as well.
