got new wheels for the old fixed a little bit ago. totally screwed up though.. non machined. did the bridge pedal with the front brake on anyway (because i was told they would inspect bikes to make sure safety requirements were met... lie.) and clipped in, worst experience on a ride ever. granola hippies are kinda like old drivers. anyway, when the roads are dry, i feel more comfortable without the front brake for some reason. totally wish i had a machined front though for this up coming fall weather. front brakes are legit. p.s. the podium seat with the chode hole sucks. bike shorts are a luxury none should be without.

Today's weather was definitely a bummer. I totally thought me and some buddies were going to be able to go for a nice loop around the city, but instead I got a lame cruise to Burnside and back before the shower slicked up the road. So I was in Bend this past weekend and decided to jib around on my bike, not thinking about the fact that a fixed gear wheel is far less sturdy compared to a BMX wheel. Needless to say, the rim is warped to hell now. Truing it didn't help at all. Been doing some research on what I should get. Looked into the H+Son rim and HOLY HELL those things are whack! Check this out. http://ganrin.blogspot.com/2008/11/its-not-mine-but.html Definitely leaning towards a Velocity Deep V. Inexpensive and quality for the money. I know how to true shit up pretty well. Gotta learn how to lace better. I tried lacing a BMX wheel back in the day when I rode but I laced it to a bent rim unknowingly. Complete waste of time.:o Was super stoked last week. A buddy and I went riding all over. We ended up out at Reed and then got a call to a homie out in NW. Made it to the NW end of Waterfront in about 15 minutes. Gotta get that ride down faster.
  10. nice end to my night. buenas noches

Count Chocula- brilliant! Thanks On another note, wheels. What's a good fixed gear wheel set? I know a bunch about BMX but very little about my new addiction.

HAHA "What do you think Bakersfield?" I agree with the Selle Italia. I heard that those Brooks saddles are pretty damn nice too... once you break them in. Pros find someone with a similar ass and have them break them in for them. I ride a Windsor fixed gear and the only ish stock left are the wheels. Been looking into those as of late but I don't have as much knowledge in this department as I did in the BMX genera. Thinking about getting a MAG in the back possibly. I mainly just want to reduce the spoke count. Thanks Count Chocula for reminding me of surplus stores. WHo'da thunk it.. not I.
  15. brewery outta eugene, oregon- NINKASI. super fresh, ridiculously dank, and the label is a sticker that can be peeled off for other uses. guess it has also been one of the biggest hits on the market lately. tricerahops is where it's at.
  16. Re: Great Pictures~ bow and arrow. definitely bow and arrow.
  17. haven't had the chance to check it out yet but evidently there is a new j dilla album out. yeah i know he has passed on but like most deceased rappers, he's still got ish we haven't heard. doom has a track??? need to get my hands on it. been listening to a bunch of dub step lately, one of my boys is killin the local scene. opens for A-Track here pretty soon.

Acer910- I've used the whole cog on a couple of 10 speed conversions and not had a problem with chain slippage but if you are able to get your hands on a SS freewheel, that would be a good way to go.. Reduce a little bit of clunk from the weight and whatnot, also less movable parts to worry about. If not, maybe have another go at it with the gear ratios you are trying to run??? You may wanna tighten your hub up too if it is slipping, that'll definitely cause your chain line to stray from where you want it. Could solve the whole chain tension ish. I don't know anything about part fabrication, so no advice on that one. Hope you you are able to get it working or have already done so. That video about the messenger is ridiculous! Found it odd that I stumble upon people talking about messenger bags as well. I'm currently looking for one but don't exactly have the funds for anything expensive, any suggestions on that one?
