  1. .. nice look into how things happen while out painting, it's like painting sets you up for bull-shit to happen, and it's usually after you've left the spot. I'm sure there's mad stories to be told ..
  2. .. ENDER .. SHIT IS FIRE!! TOSS OR PIECE, DOES'NT MATTER.
  3. .. yo! up the street from that garde/asert tosses, is a dissed crow piece. sad to see, that piece was clean as fuck. probably the cleanest crow joint i've seen. theres also another dude, but i can't read his name. shit is fire doe ..
  4. .. kiloz wit the old skool flicks, nice philhatchet shots doggy, way to go recognizing the chunky style of ol'skool funk, much props ..
  5. ..obviously he does'nt know the rules to this shit. basically, if you can't burn whats already there, then don't go over it. find another spot, "GET UP SOMEWHERE ELSE", as a cleveland legend once said ..
  6. yeah Sinek is already taken. I believe he is from Cleveland, he up alot with Phrite. R.I.P Phrite
  7. Yo synsoe, I didn't mean the actual cans funny man. I meant the damn paint that comes out of the can when you press down on the tip. Get it, get it. Damn, and I'm the dumb one.
  8. To all writers who have pieced on a water tower, I'm curious about something. Is there alot of wind turbulance up there? and if so how do yall keep the wind away from blowing your paint?
  9. american accents are pretty dependable, I hav'ent had problems with krylon. try american accents, as far as winter shit goes, i really don't do much winter painting so I really don't have paint problems when it comes to cold air and reduced paint quality.
  10. At least no drips. Try simple letter forms first. Stay simple. All toys should rock simple letters and simple dual colors schemes. You should aim for clean sharp, non fuzzy pieces. I am a toy myself and I keep it simple. You will get respect also that way. Once you can get up simple letters then you can start evolving...
  11. I agree w wallbanger. You need a nice balance when you are piecing
  12. yeah I had to bounce out while doing a hollow. Punk ass transit rolled up on me. That was my welcome to graffitti chase I guess.
  13. Keep your head up homie. I am a toy as well. I have been recieving some advice from local writers in my town, but other than that , you really just have to stay in your blackbook and develope your style. Once you have it down in your book then try to get it up just like it is in your book. Practice, practice, practice, and practice some more. That is the only way to get your skill and rep up. No one is gonna tell or show you shit. PAYIN DUES is what you have to do. Stick wit yo, if you are seriuos about being a writer you have to put in the work
  14. Yo! It's up to you homie to change the paint. If you feel like you wanna change your paint brand then do your thing. If you are crushing with your current brand, then stick wit that paint. I'ts up to you homie. I will say however, not all the paints adhere or give you the same performance. Some brands have more water and less pigments (like $1 paint, or Walmart color). So just keep that in mind. If you are destroying shit with bullshit paint, than going to higher quality paint will only make your shit that much more gangsta. Follow your gut. .............Sick Wit Artistic Talent............... :clown2: :clown2: :clown2: :clown2:
  15. As for the gang writings. I agree with you it really pisses me off to see the news classify our throwies and pieces along side folks, crips, and bloods shit. Ther is obviously a clear diffrence between the two. The powers that be just want to paint a picture how the hood as being this one big pot of criminal elements, with everything that dwells in it being evil, no matter how beautiful and energitic it may be. We just gotta keep pushing.... ONE73! :scrambled:
  16. as to where the graff game is heading in the future, I cannot really say. I can however add the fact that there is a growing amount almost daily of emerging writers at least in my town. I see it on the news, in tabloids, on flyers and in the newspaper about how this rave of graffiti art is at a all time high. So in a practical sence graffiti is not dying, it is actually flourishing. I was a 80's baby. I grew up watching NOMAD, SANO and his crew pioneer the graff movement in Cleveland, and I remember saying to myself "man, I want to be part of that". I remember how it made me feel whrn I looked at and walked up close to the wall and saw things I didn't see before from a distance. The control, the attention to detail, the color combinations, the subject matter, the attitude and emotin capsulated inside the 4ft. by 4ft visual splender. It really moved me as creative person. I say all that to say this, society will always hold our passion as the dark truth to our culture. They don't understand it and don't want to. But I take much pride in what i achieve at every wall. Graffiti is not dying it is in fact evolving into a stronger and purpose filled phenomenon. Can you imagine how people will be getting up in the future, the technological advances that could be made in the graffiti community. it will never die, it will only get better. Here we are now, over 40 years into present day graffiti, and i still catch shit that blows my mind. Writers are't going anywhere, not as long as we have the walls to speak our voice. Big Brother is out there, but he is not everywhere, we are plentyfull. UNITY AMOUNGST WRITERS IS THE KEY TO OUR LONGEVITY. EVERYONE STOP HATING ON ONE ANOTHER AND COME TOGETHER AND DO ONE MEGA HUGE MURAL!!!! Ha, can you imagine a million writer march. Imagine that!!!!!!! Peace Yall! Stay Up! ONE73 S.W.A.T cru:scrambled:
  17. Yo! I'm broke as fuck right now. But best believe I keep some change for for my color, thats word. my econ statis is not going tom keep me from getting the fuck up. STARVING ARTIST is what we are. So embrass it and keep it moving. My passion for graff is all I got.:shakehead:
  18. I always carry a knife with me, you just never know when someone or thing will decide to test you whether you are getting up or just minding your buisness out and about. My advice is carry your knife. Even when me and my homie go out and crush we both have something to protect ourselves. One other thing, know your surroundings. Get a feel for the area you are going to paint in and always be on your toes. Never get caught slippin. ONE73! :shakehead:
  19. SANO! No doubt. I have been catching his shit for years, the boy is seriuosly a beast when it comes to these 216 walls man. I can only hope to get up wit dude in the future. ONE!:scrambled:
