new jersey. got back today :D yeah i've used it before, i got the powder on my hands because i figured it wouldnt do anything, and i mean alot of it was on me. so i went to my WHITE sink to wash it off, and it made the shit cling to me like glue. i needed to use brillo/rough sponges and sandpaper to fully get that shit off, and the stains under and on the sides of my nails were there for weeks, but they came off with chlorine after a good swim. as for the sink, its still got purple lines on it.

i was thinking there would be alot of pages for me to read.. but only 2. i just got back from bermuda. i came back to a nice package of black garvey on my stoop :D. i just made a big batch of liquid additive.. i use Pellegrino bottles (250ml clear glass bottles) with 50g of additive, and i have about 3 bottles full. this ought to last me a while.

thanks 60F1. cool! it sure is.. i was taking the paint out of a woodcraft, and i had a garvey mix in a cup next to my sink, i went to throw something into my garbage (next to my sink) and my elbow hit the cup and got it all in my sink.. its pretty much off now but there is a very visible purple tint to it :(

yeah, i decided not to order it over the internet though, because im just gonna get it at wallmart tomorrow. i ordered pearlex pigments though :D yeah, i found 70% percent the other day, and i remembered you said its acceptable, but i would rather wait and get the denatured. thats those white things right? anyway, have you any idea what product might come in a container around 100ml, because i dont have erlenmyer flasks to measure in ml. the closest i've gotten is those marino's italian ices, 177ml. :rolleyes: sounds nice, but i dont think im going to be experimenting with any ink recipes anymore. one reason is because i have a killer mix of my own, that nothing so far has come close to its standards, and another reason is because it just gets so damn messy.. i might try it out though, i always wind up fucking with inks when i have nothing to do.

garvey is wayy over rated.. its really only good on metals. there are surfaces where it comes off easier then fucking crayola.

its leaking from the place where you screw it on.. i used that black electrical tape and and taped it like mad, then went over it with one strip of duct, and then a little more electrical tape.. i dont think that shits going to budge :king:

Yes thats the Leeho, its the exact marker. Leeho and Sailer are not different markers. It says Sailer on the marker and Leeho on the package.

they must come in different sizes then, because that marker is just a bit thicker then those small bullet tip pilots. i know zigs come in different sizes, and maybe the leeho's do to, because the pic someone posted of one in the favorite marker thread looked to be bigger then mine. anyway i know 60F1 said that you can get denatured alcohol from any place that sells paint, but could i get it at like a cvs or a rite aid pharmacy type place? any euros want to get at me with some corio for some of my griffin mix?

Well its good to know I at least have the right stuff, I guess :o. You think its taking a long time because I didn't put it in Denatured Alcohol, but straight into my ink? Also what do you mean about straining it? Do you mean like after I add the Potassium to the Denatured Alc and let it sit, strain it before adding it to my ink? I'm just a little confused. Also do you reccomend the same amount as the Dye Additives (5-10g)? What a fucking great idea. I need to use my head more. Anyway I'm definitley getting more Leeho's soon because that nib is fucking sweet. I'm going to try writing to them to see if I can order some empty ones. It should'nt be too much because its only $2.89 for a full one.. Will do. Stamp and Go. Leeho's for $2.89 and Zigs for $4.99. i had my computer being repaired so i had some good time to mess around with shit in my room, and i have some questions for 60F1.. or anyone that can answer them, rather.. i got some potassium permanganate and crytal violet this week. the potassium permanganate is a black "powder" that doesnt look like it will dissolve at all. i added it to a mix of garvey and red pilot ink, and a week later i was still here it crunching around when i shake my marker. i decided to hit up a tag with it, so i put up on a metal phone booth. 5 minutes later i came to look at it has a wierd discoloration too it, so i felt it and the potassium permanganate just sat on top of my tag, didnt dissolve at all.. maybe i got the wrong stuff but it says its an oxidiser on the container and 60F1 said the shit he has was an oxidiser so uh...? anyway i was bored and decided to add some crystal violet to some black garvey.. i shook it up for a while and let it sit for a few hours. this time it was an actual powder that didnt have any trouble dissolving. it was green, but it turned purple after it dissolved. so i got a few tags up with that and it was the same shitty flat color as regular griffin, put with a purplish tint. then i added some black pilot ink (i'd say it was about 10-15 pipettes full) to it and shook it up and added some more crystal violet.. this is definitley a great mix.. one of my favorites.. definitley worth a try ! i got some leehos and zigs in the mail because i've heard good stuff about them. the leeho i opened and rinsed it all out and whatnot but i didnt put that circular soft ring thing back under where the nib goes when i put it back together because i didnt think it mattered. i also cut a slice down that tube that sticks out of the valve (the thing that the nib pushes on to get ink into it) like rinse said a while back because it increases drips. i love it because you get nice drips without pushing down on the nib, and they are nice little drips, not ones that totally smother your letters. i like this marker but when i screwed the top back on after i put my ink in it only screws on a little bit then clicks then its not tight anymore.. hard to explain.. like i start screwing it on and then it makes a click noise and its like starting over again.. i can never get it to close tight. so i took some "book tape" or whatever the fuck and taped in around and its been the greatest marker.. i love the little fucker. i dont know if this has happened to anyone else but when i got my zig it was fucking impossible to unscrew so i jammed a knife under the top part and got it open, but now it leaks like a bitch out of the place i stuck the knife. not because i make cuts in it but because i like... it doesnt matter just what do you use for sealing your markers?
