  1. I dont know about the Seachem shit, but 60F1 said he got his potas perm at Lowes and K-Mart.
  2. I don't know about black, but see if you can get red, its the next best thing next to purple. You can get 4oz purple Fiebings off of ebay for $4.50 + $2.50 shipping. I imagine black would be good because it can't be any different then Griffin, they are both pretty much the same product. You already know its going to stain, just because its a different color isn't going to mean its complete shite, but purple will just stain better.. I would go for it.
  3. no ones going to raid your house or send you anthrax.
  4. Can offer you some kickass ink for some oneshot?
  5. Marsh is exactly what your looking for, mang.

  9. might it have gotten mixed with another ink?
  10. the artprimo shit definitley isnt fake, because the only place they could get bulk amounts is straight from the company. i got mine off ebay :(
  11. you could have been sold bootleg garvey, its happened to me. its quite an easy ink to make. or imitate, rather.
  12. when i shake my etch i get the most vivid tag on the glass. i see tags that are scratched off but that never happens with mine and i always give it a good shaking before i use it.
  13. Is this it.. http://img.uuser.com/5233.JPG'> ?
  14. Nozaki, thats what Potas Perm is used for. Cleansing water. The Methylene Blue liquid is totally useless, as 60F1 said earlier. Also make sure you shake etch before you put it in your marker and shake it everytime you do a tag. Etch has never failed me..
  15. That is going to fucking blow up.
  16. 60F1, I saw you mentioning Malachite Green earlier. I did some ebaying and came across 2 Malachite Green auctions. One of them says: Malachite Green Hydrochloride Catalog Number: M10010050A Formula: C23H25N2Cl CAS Number: 569-64-2 Description: Crystalline Assay: 90-100% Amount: 100g DOT Classification: Non Regulated The other says: Malachite Green Oxalate Catalog Number: M10013579A Formula: C48H50N4O4.2C2H2O4 CAS Number: 2437-29-8 Description: Crystalline Assay: 90-100% Amount: 100g DOT Classification: Non Regulated Which do you reckon is the right one? I found some Fuchsin auctions, as well.. once again there are 2 different types. Here they are: Fuchsin New Catalog Number: F10072314A Formula: C22H24CIN3 CAS Number: 3248-91-7 Description: Crystalline Assay: ca. 100% Amount: 10g DOT Classification: Non Regulated ..and the other- Fuchsin Basic (Basic Fuchsin Hydrochloride) Catalog Number: F10014389A Formula: C20H19N3.HCl CAS Number: 632-99-5 Description: Crystalline Assay: ca. 100%, Certified Amount: 100g DOT Classification: Non Regulated Which one do I get? I also found auctions such as Methyl Red, Methyl Orange, and Methyl Violet. Are any of these worth it?
  17. Cool. I'm in the process of gathering materials for an ink recipe I thought might work out alright. Its gonna be similar to 60F1's recipe, only I'm going to twist it a little because I can't quite obtain everything I need. Violet Carbon Paper Ink Red Sanford Ink (replacing Purple) Gentian Violet Powder Red Pilot Ink (I'm just adding this for the fuck of it) Is it safe to mix Potassium Perm with Gentian Violet? I asked Rubbish but just to make sure.. If it is I'm adding some of that. Probably a few drops of break fluid, too. I'll let you all know how it works out.
  18. 60F1, whats your opinion on Fiebings Leather Dye?
  19. Yeah.. denature alcohol + violet carbon paper is supposed to be pretty sick.. sorry if that last post of mine sounded a little mean :o
