    'surf watch' firewalls.

so at work, they have this 'surf watch' shit that doesnt let me check my mail, visit friendster, or nearly anything else i want to go to. amazingly, it allows 12oz, but im sure that wont last.

is there a way around this? is that what proxy servers do? if so, how do i make that work?
