great article...in terms of the graf, my buddy did a piece while in iraq and some bombing so to speak... but in terms of gangs, of course people are gonna rep their hood in the service, plus the service is made up of mostly young, impressionable and poor youth, the same demographic gangs target

I wasn't really concerned about this because most gangs aren't really brutal in nature, they are orginizations that are know if wide spread violence breaks out they have to fight two enemies so they really don't have all out wars. That said sur-13 are crazy and the fact some of them are getting american military training actually scares me, they idea of violence and the justifications for it far surpass the ruthlessness of any other gang in recent times. They already have paramilitary influence and I really think they will become a larger problem in the United States and Central America.

    gangs are huge

MS13 threw someone out of a moving car around here on I95 and it got pulverized.
    all over the news.
the bloodstains on the highway were pretty horrific looking.

if al-qaeda could crack into our nasty jails we could have big problems.

there's lots of internal power struggles in the military. but they try to drive home the point that we are all green. it is the same demographics as gangs though...true.
