do you have the same amount of RAM installed? maybe your new hard drive doesn't support a data transfer speed as fast as the other one. try looking for an audio hardware driver on your motherboard manufacturer's website. if nothing else works, uninstall your audio hardware in the device manager, then reinstall it, maybe that will do something. sometimes my computer stops recognizing my audio hardware and i have to restart.

 

 

have you checked if there is a warranty on your old hard drive?
