I meant the actual physical hardware as opposed to service. the last one I had...the ear piece (in the part that flipped up) started shorting out and I wouldn't be able to hear whoever I was talking to. I know several people that have had this problem in the past. It seems like the flip phones only last a year or so before they start doing that. I used one of those phones from the time I was old enought to dial one* till the time I left for college. * apparently this was around the age of 3-4.
