Also check in over the next 2 months with the holidays coming. When there's an emergency, when people become concerned, people tend to be good about reaching out, lending support, etc. But after the immediate crisis passes, a person still needs your support. Their thinking got them to a dark place, and often it took them a little time to get there, and it's going to take a little time to get back out of there. So, even if they're not thinking of killing themselves right now, the problems, and some of the related thinking, have not just disappeared.
