wiseguy Posted January 3, 2006 Share Posted January 3, 2006 if you are talking about freehand with spraypaint, can control is important. but if you cant sort out dimensions and anatomy you wont be able to get it looking right. read books on anatomy for arists and practice drawing people first. i would say that most people who paint figures or portraits would work from photos.
