Recording internet Radio?

Recommended Posts

So i am at a frinds house listening ot the radio stations offa her ITunes and some of this is really good music being thrown at me. I wanna capture it as a series of distinct dj sets to amuse me at work.

Question is, how do i go about doing this? Can i do it through ITunes? Do i need a special program? is there an option to record somewhere I am just not seeing?

Help me out here ye tech geeks of 12oz

Man, you know what my little brother does when he listens to internet radio stations... he writes down the artist and song title and then, later, fills up my damned soulseek wishlist with crazy experimental jazz stuff....

It'd be nice to know how to record some internet radio.

edit: I'll ask him if he knows anything about recording.

just to flare up an old argument....

forget iTunes, get winamp and use soutcast streams.

You can rip them as-is with ID3 tags and everything

using a program called 'streamripper' (use google ya tool)

I usually just find a station I like and let it rip durring the day while I'm at work.

Then I get home, and there's a few hundred new tracks waiting for me.

otherwise.... totalrecorder is an app that just copies your audio output to a sound file.

no breaks, no ID3, but it can work in a worst case senario.
