This reminds me of the case where a convicted pedophile who had done his time was arrested again for writing his fantasies down in a journal, on the grounds that they were child pornography. I forget how they found the journal, but it's definitely crossing the line into thought crimes. So is this situation. And Invalid, I've never seen you make an argument so invalid.

On the plus side, this just made me come up with a new thread idea.

seriously, i 100% agree...this country has turned to shit...no freedom at all, not even allowed to draw a fucking picture on a piece of paper, what the fuck....that shit is not freedom at all....how is that being free? american citizens are robots of the goverment, whatever the laws say we have to follow....how is that being free? we have lawys that say we cant do certain things....but seriously, felonies for little kids drawing on paper? that is a joke, america is fucked up, i dont know much about other counties, but this one is just straight fucked up

shit, i'm glad not everyone thought i was overreacting.

this is one of those weird 'warning signs'/red flag type of shits that i'll look back on.

it just gives me a bad feeling about the future of our country.

thought crimes .....

yes, most especially when juxtaposed with the orgy of violence playing out on television across america

just because some cops overreacted it doesnt mean america is the most evil nation on the planet.

Question: what rights have you been individually stripped of by this case?

stop bringing irrelevent information into play to make your case against america .2 kids getting felonies doesnt equal the downfall of democracy .

yeah, and i never said we were the most evil nation on the planet.

i love when people attempt to deflate an argument by first misconstruing it.

interesting tactic.

What's really ludicrous is that this happened in a Special Education class. The teacher should've been equipt to deal with the situation without involving the principal and much less the authorities. I was in LD classes all throughout elementary school and all of the children had severe emotional and behavioral disorders which is precisely what a Special Ed. teacher is trained to help the students work through.

It's pretty fucking sick. The parents of course showed no backbone what-so-ever saying that if the school felt the actions taken were appropriate, then they're all for it. That's probably why their kids are in LD classes in the first place, because their fuck-up parents can't do anything for them, not even come to their defense when they are arrested for fucking drawing.

Art has always been a safe and productive way to express yourself, be it violent or not. The claim that art can negatively affect a childs social behavior is plain wrong. The child, obviously, already had these visions of killing another child and by drawing them he is expressing himself in a NON-VIOLENT way. I don't see what the problem is... Chances are none of this would have materialized into anything else if the teacher would've simply took the time to talk to the boys, and, if it did, it could have been intervened in a far more logical way before it was a threat to anyone.

Shit like this makes me want to go on a killing spree. Hey KaBar, can I borrow one of your machine guns?

my apologies, i kinda ran what "why write" and yourself posted together. dont act like you weren't bashing america. Even though i cant quote you on the evil thing , i can quote you on"what about america is even worth fighting for anymore?"Despite the small loss of some freedoms it is still a pretty great place.

back on topic:The fact that they were special education students only adds to its ridiculousness .Not mention the cetainty that this case will be thrown out
