Guest imported_Tesseract
O.K. many of you still go to school and i am sure many just remember this stuff. I need to find the perimeter of a circle. i remember something like 2xpi(3,14)square.but i am not sure. You'll have to excuse my stupid english and try to understand what i mean...thanx Reward:a Tesseract drawing

Guest THE LAW
it's been a long time since THE LAW calculated the circumference of a circle. try (2) times (pi) times (the radius of the circle).
Poop Man Bob
The circumference (perimeter) of a circle is: pi(radius*2) .... or .... pi(diameter)

Guest THE LAW
if you are trying to compute the AREA of a circle, use smart's equation. That has a square.....perimeter/circumference does not.
Guest --zeSto--
Here's the definitive math... diameter = 2 x radius of circle Circumference of Circle = PI x diameter = 2 PI x radius where PI = = 3.141592... Area of Circle: area = PI r2 arc: a curved line that is part of the circumference of a circle chord: a line segment within a circle that touches 2 points on the circle. circumference: the distance around the circle. diameter: the longest distance from one end of a circle to the other. origin: the center of the circle pi (): A number, 3.141592..., equal to (the circumference) / (the diameter) of any circle. radius: distance from center of circle to any point on it. sector: is like a slice of pie (a circle wedge). tangent of circle: a line perpendicular to the radius that touches ONLY one point on the circle http://www.sisweb.com/math/geometry/circles.htm'> I want that drawing
Smart
but you CAN NOT do it Zesto's way, doubling Pi and multiplying but that leaves more opportunity for error, as you calculate Pi out to further decimal places, so if you're doing it for class, all 3 word but if you're building a tower, best to stick to the first 2 ways... and if all of this is gonna be on a test soon, be assured that they will almost always try to trick you on one question by supplying the diameter instead of the radius, be aware... Guest --zeSto--
hey smrt... "PI x diameter = 2 PI x radius" the above statement is correct. Sure PI*2 is too risky to calculate, but just try to prove it false... Guest imported_Tesseract
OK i tied it, http://www.yourphotos.com/users/2809/ACF4A3C.jpg'> This circle has a radius of 2cm applying the: PI x diameter = 2 PI x radius we have 6,28 x 2 = 8,28 So the Circumference of this Circle is 8,28 Right? seems ok with the eye. Thank you all for the help and the quick responce to this. Here's a frame from my Tesseract animation for you all:) http://www.yourphotos.com/users/2809/tesseract.jpg'> Special thanx to Zesto and smart for the amount of info. Its not for a test (i finished school 6 years ago) either a building. Its for a canvas i'm working on. Since Zesto is the only one that showed interest on the prize plus he made his piece of info really simplified for my notknowing good english brain we wins it.Check your mail later on the day. Thanx to y'all again.
