You all know that little animation that appears in the top-right corner of IE...when you recieve data(refresh,load sites) it moves and when its done it appears as a single frame. In times of high boredome levels and in total disrespect of microsofts defaults,I realised that i can replace this animation with one made by me or just something i like. If you are interested to do so go to C:/PROGRAM FILES:/INTERNET EXPLORER:/SIGN UP And you'll find(among other crap)some bitmaps that will seem familiar,open them in photoshop or something like that replace them and save them with the same name on the same directory. Next time you open IE your animation will appear. If someone is interested and finds this info not to enlighting,i can give more. Anyway, here's the deal: Go to C:/PROGRAM FILES:/INTERNET EXPLORER:/SIGN UP There you'll find the bitmaps that are currently used. The thing is that the first set is componed by two single frames the first and the last frame of the animation(28x28 pixels) and the whole animation [45 frames( 28x28 pixels again)] The animation is needed two times,dont ask me why. The second set is the same thing but in 38x38 pixels resolution(for higher screen resolution or fullscreen mode i suppose). I only give you the 28x28 cause the 38 seemed useless to me(if you need it tell me) All you have to do is open the original IE bitmaps in photoshop and paste to them the ones i send you,flatten image and save. Or just open the ones i send you and save them in to C:/PROGRAM FILES:/INTERNET EXPLORER:/SIGN UP using the same name that already exists,example:for the first frame save the chick as 28000.bmp The "replace file"dialog box will appear and you press OK. I hope its clear... IF YOU WANT TO USE ANOTHER ANIMATED GIF 1.You'll have to choose a squared one 2.resize it to 28x28 3.open it on a video edit program(adobe premier will do) 4.export it as a Bitmap filmstrip 5.bring it down to 45 frames and replace as above. IF YOU WANT TO USE FRAMES FROM A MOVIE 1.open movie throught Premier and follow 2,3,4,5 of the above. Thats pretty much it,i hope i explained it well Have fun!
