For all of you regulars out there, many will remember a period of time months back where "UBER" was the big catch word of the moment and then it more or less died down (see "homosexual UBERtones") I would like to point out some of the more obnoxious phrases being passed around 12Oz and the media these days that are played out like a game of Monopoly on a rainy sunday.... 1. (Blank)GATE: "nipplegate", "fajitagate" (s.f. heads will understand this one), "stewartgate", "Hiltongate", etc..... Enough.....shit sounds hella gay. Used in any connotation with some big scandel...just plain LAME! 2. Guber(anything): I first heard this when arnie was running to be our governor (gubernational). now it's used for anything.
