"DERO HALL OF FAME'

Here something from Dero on 238th St taken from Backjumps # 4 ;

When i wasn't doing train cars, i was blasting my home from home the "DERO HALL OF FAME" , 238th St bridge. I think this where i did some of my best shit at the time, even better than some of the trains, because i had more time down there. No one bothered me at all until toys fucked it all up.

Dero opinions on Style! Backjumps #8 ;

Everyone has a different opinion, some straight letters, some like it semi-wild.

so how can we say. Anyway i always like to take all the colors away and say how would that piece look without the colors and just in plain B& W. Would i still say it was fresh or had funky style to it? Maybe yes and maybe no, but these are the things to me that make style not 500 arrows or 99 colors or designs or graphics. Just plain funky style.

Back in the days we didn't have liquitex caps or german caps, we had the top off the can and the fat foam cap, so if most of these guys today who consider themselves stylists had none of those funny caps, they couldn't even piece, so before anyone judges who has the best style or anything else, say to yourself how would that artist's shit look if he had to use 2 or 3 colors and no special caps,would it still rock?

I don't think so.

But i know i could do it and also know about a dozen real dope stylists who could easily burn the shit out of a wall, train or anything else without the use of A) ten hours B) funny caps or C) 99 colors. Could the artists you see as the best stylists do this ? Well maybe and maybe not, but just remember , don't ever count any of the veteran well known artists out of anything because you have never seen there best and maybe never will until there pushed to there limit.

Anyway my definition of style is being able under any conditions to put some funky shit straight from the head and not only be able to do one style, meaning the artist can do straight letters, block busters and also be able to burn!
