Guest SPLINTER Posted June 15, 2003 Share Posted June 15, 2003 a lizard or other type of bird layed an egg containing a genetic mutation. the dna was not like that of the one that laid the egg. the chicken hatched from that egg and passed on its genetic mutation to its offspring and those offspring to their offspring an so on untill the chicken we know today hatched out of an egg with very little genetic mutation, thus chickens are probably only slowly evolving these days. the egg.
