i know...im usually well versed in most things i do. i hate not knowing how to use stuff i have.

ok heres what im doing (this may help:)

i go to new and open a blank box

then i start to draw the "c" with the line tool

when i click the airbrush tool, i get the little "ghostbuster" sign

and if i try to airbrush, it just wont let me...

any help?

You can't airbrush it because the lines you made are vector shapes. Before 6.0, lines in Photoshop would be normal raster lines, but now they made them vectors so that they'll print out nice and straight, with no "jaggies". What you wanna do is, after drawing your 'c' with the line tool, go the Layer menu, select "rasterize", then choose "layer". You should be all set after that. Beer,

no. i drew the "c" over the photo of the character and blacked out the outside. im probaby do a few different ones, cuz i been drinkin so i might hate this in the morning.
