  1. I'm guessing your talking about popps? we swung through there saturday night...super fun park.
  2. yeah thanks for the support folks. Phase one is being built regardless and will be done in july. if you looked at the rendering phase 1 deals with the street section up to the "stage", or the stair set with a roof. Hopefully we get some backing and the construction of phase 2 & 3 continues, but it doesn't look like we'll be getting the pepsi grant. and a small contribution to the thread. heres a little clip i made of mostly digi cam footage from last year. http://vimeo.com/10533356
  3. Thanks for the votes and thanks for pointing that out sneekatoke. We started this thing off in third and held it for two weeks...then just watched it drop and have been stuck in eleventh for a while now. part two of the field ops is up on the berrics and explains a little more about the park.
  4. I haven't been to this site in years and hate to leave spam as a return post but... My city and local shop are currently building a skateplaza. We have funding for the first phase and are diligently trying to get support/funding for the second and third phase. Right now we are trying to win the pepsi refresh grant that would make it possible to finish phase two and are in need of votes to do so. the plaza is an hour from philly and an hour and a half from ny. you can check out the project at www.homebase610.com or check out the field ops on www.theberrics.com. if you have a second to lend a vote you can do it at http://www.refresheverything.com/bethlehemskateplaza. Thanks for your time and any and all help is appreciated.
  5. frontside rock and rolls, frontside 50-50's, basically frontside tricks in general. Thats always my hang up on transition anyways, i learn all the backside tricks because they are more natural then it's hard to learn things frontside.
  6. 60% before you, switched ips and another 60 after you. It almost looks clean
  7. ...and another 40% on the one. As i was cleaning someone was right behind me with more crap. anyone else out there?
  8. used about 160% on the 2 alone. is there a key shortcut for straight lines on a mac?
  9. just saw this on crailtap. at least it'll be a skate contest and not an extreme game this time around. http://www.maloofmoneycup.com/overview.html
  10. so half of the one is missing and i'm at an ip with only 5% ink.
  11. this dude schralps in baggy and tight jeans.
  12. older barletta footage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5KKu8Pm9Dg
  13. the rattray footage is dope. Tricks look effortless. I was trying to watch his epicly later'd but i could only find one part.
  14. http://nysk8movie.com/clips/11/ deathbowl to downtown
  15. Just got back from the local skatepark and the grumpy old man in me finally surfaced. Nothing worse than eating shit on what is usually an every try make just because johnny scooter champ likes to mosey around the flat bar...not doing "tricks" mind you, just cruising about and gawking at the "big dog" scooter scoots trying front flips over the fun box. And while a front flip on a scooter is, i'll admit, a fucking amazing feat. It's still nothing one should aspire to, let alone gawk at while other people are trying to skate. I'm talking grown men on razor scooters. That said, heres a little article on skatepark etiquette that should be printed out and posted at every janky skatelite (sp) park in your area. http://www.interstatemag.com/2008/02/skateboarding_etiquette_101.html and in line with the above posts. It's all about cotton dockers regular fit...in with the out. jeans no matter what size are uncomfortable.
  16. good call on richard angelides...any new footage of that dude?
  17. buckaroo banzai is tops some comedies: i'm a peter sellers fan http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1276812288/tt0074937 and a parker posey fan. and i've always wanted to see these: The Conqueror http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0049092/ Los Enchiladas, mitch hedberg, i couldn't find an image but http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0194119/
  18. good to know drake jones is still around, def. a favorite of the nineties and never saw the bobshirt site..I'm no longer slippin
  19. fistula and fistulated are hilarious words other than that this is fucked.
  20. richie jacksons three flip hippie jump (bad pun intended) was sick. I was searching for es's old video High Five, anyone have a link? pete eldridge 10 tricks
  21. Currently, not of all time. jerry hsu karl watson brian wenning kenny anderson brent atchley and who's richie jackson?
  22. are there key commands for straight lines and such?
  23. So i watched the video again thinking i might have missed something, i even checked out video days which i haven't seen for like 13 years but nope...the kids still dope in my book, and still reminds me of Mariano in the sense that he skates on a seasoned pro level at the age of 13, i think guy was 14 at the time of filming video days. As for style, dude's got style, the hurricane grind, smiths and feebles got as much style as a Hosoi christ air (maybe thats stretching it a little but point made). the backside fifty fifty on the hubba is to note as well. True he's small, but he skates fast, consistently puts out better parts, and doesn't half step on anything. Even his ledge lines are decent and with a controlled push. the only thing that is lacking is pop on his flip tricks...dude floats down like four stairs before catching anything. and flatground his board hits the ground first sometimes. I just can't bring myself to knocking the kid cause he's got short legs. My opinion. One thing we at least all agree on is that he will for sure be killing it when he gets older, distractions aside. video days: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8580474923779712077&q=%22video+days%22%2C+skateboarding&total=30&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=2 on topic with little kids and style:
