  1. I currently and rocking a pair of pricepoint wheels on my bike. They aren't the best but they're pretty light and roll true for $129. Also my buddy picked up a pair of Shimano 105 wheels on ebay for under 200. He bought each wheel separate but still.

    Whats your price range?

  2. After some quick research people are complaining about the Giant. They say that it's the same geometry as their road frames and leaves it with a lack-luster handling for a fixed gear. The Felt has a more aggressive frame and is more responsive and from what I noticed, it's lighter. It all depends on what kind of ride you're looking for. The Giant will be more of an easy going type of ride than the Felt.

  3. The cyclops Fluid 2 runs for about 270 which is a bit out of my range as of right now. Then again I need to get back on my bike, but with this collar bone injury not healing at all it's kind of a risk.

  4. Looks like fun KMART.

Speaking of being off the bike, I'm thinking of picking up a trainer for the upcoming winter that is slowly creeping itself into northern ohio already. I was looking at fluid trainers as they are supposed to be quiet and I live in an apartment building. But I've heard that after a while they will eventually spring a leak and that makes me think a mag trainer is in order and just say fuck my neighbors. Any suggestions?

  5. Garbage picked a MTN bike yesterday. Pretty excited to have a winter beater. It's nothing special by any means but it'll do.

Count, I've heard great things about BMC. My teacher I ride with has one and he swears by it. Though his frame set was 4K.

Soup, you're looking for a saddle that takes care of certain kind of issues like numbness or what? I just switched over to the Specialized Toupe a while back and it took care of all my riding issues. It's a great saddle.

  6. ^yea coopers pale is what its all about... only beer i have ever drunk that doesn't give a hangover... no preservatives.

No preservatives but it still has active yeast floating in it. No hang over but if you've got a weak stomach then you'll be shitting your brains out in the morning.

  7. In all honesty, a lot of people get caught up in what's a nice bike and what's cool for right now. If you're cruising around the town or just using it to go to the bar cause you don't want to drive, anything with two wheels and brakes will work. Sure the Schwinn Cutter isn't the best basic bike out there but for dowmagik, it gets him around and he seems happy with it. If you want to put an asston of money into a bike because other people tell you its a nice frame and it's vintage and you want that prestige then sure do it I guess. If I were you, I'd find the first bike at a garage sale that fit me and just ride it. It's exactly what I did with my first bike and I still ride it as a daily commuter. Granted I now have a nice road bike for long rides, but I love being out on my bike for hours on end.

Speaking of, my fucking collar bone is taking decades to heal, I went for x-rays yesterday and he told me it should be ANOTHER 3 weeks to heal. Shit is mad lame.

    Dear Santana,

I appreciate that. I just heard that they are doing a Art scholarship in his name here at our University, which makes me so happy. He was such a helpful kind kid and he gets to help people for years to come even though he's no longer with us. It's a huge thing to have some positive spin on this. Thanks again.

    Dear edoggy,

Hope you're not dying. That wouldn't be cool.

    Dear rest of 12oz,

Have you ever had a friend of yours kill themselves? Just this past weekend a good friend of mine hung himself... It's been up and down for me with being pissed off at him and being really upset about it. I know this isn't the best place for advice but I can't talk to anyone about it because all the friends that we both had in common don't talk to me anymore.

    Dear John,

You will be missed. I don't forgive you for killing yourself, but I love you man... no matter what. I'm sorry I couldn't have been there for you more often, and maybe I was a bad friend, I'm not sure. Regardless I'll miss you so much buddy.

    Love, c-walk

  11. I haven't had the internet in a minute because I moved. I got to take apart my bike and re-paint it since I got another week till I'm supposed to be able to ride it. I'll post pictures when it's all said and done. Anyone know how long I should let this clear coat sit for before I put it back together?

  12. Thats one of the only Pista's I've seen that I wouldn't mind having. I usually hate them, maybe it's because everyone I see who rides them around my way are a bunch of hipsters and gays out the bike with doo dads and shit.

  13. You're fixing for a fail if you don't take it apart. Seems like you're concerned about how your bike looks so taking the easy way out of painting it isn't going to help your bike look any better. Just sayin'

I painted my frame super shitty when I first had it. Now I'm about to take it apart next week and repaint it. I can't ride it for another 3 weeks anyways so why not.
