Tasted like they’d chucked a random whiskey where the ice had melted into a crap stout. I’ve had whiskey barrel aged stouts before which were great but this felt half arsed

This was a pleasant surprise after work though. And because it was before 7, pints were only £3 My landscape pictures never come out right

Someone at work gave me this as they said it was horrendous and couldn’t drink another bottle. I had 2 sips and it went down the drain. Not good

Making the most of a break in the wind and ice to have a drink outside. I couldn’t find a seat inside either

Curious as to what the beavertown beers cost in the USA? Usually about £3 a can here

Back in 1665, the local Tailor in Eyam received some cloth from London contaminated with fleas carrying the plague. The village decided to quarantine itself and got by through people leaving goods on rocks outside the main village. The coins were placed in vinegar to kill any bacteria and you can still find the holes today. Today they make imperial stouts.

“The beer” used to be called yellow belly until some random brewery threatened legal action over its name. The original packaging used to have little eye holes cut out of the white paper too

I’ve heard this about the Czechs and their bottled beer. Everything in a bottle is green or brown. Drinking out of a can is also looked down upon. Probably doesn’t apply for the craft guys anymore. same goes for Germans too. Nothing is in a clear bottle

Couple of post festive pints. Nothings been pulled through the pipes for a couple of days so it’s a risk having anything on cask

Covid killed this great pub. It’s built into caves so you can sit and Go to the toilet in a cave basically. They’re Sunday roasts were the best in the city too. Apparently it used to be owned by some footballers who used to sit upstairs going all scarface with piles of coke. It’s back again however. Sadly, the pint was on the turn and tasted shite. Let’s hope this was a one off.

Beer for the new page. What is everyone’s thoughts on beer artwork, I like to think I’m a never judge a book by its cover type of person but I do fall for some of the fancy can art sometimes. black iris just have the same guy do every design for their beers and I respect that

Every Samuel smiths pub I’ve been in has been great and the people who run them have been really friendly. It’s a shame he seems to disrespect his staff due to his insane: backwards ideas
