  1. Teahupoo, Tahiti - The water is about 2 to 6 feet deep, with a fucked up coral bottom.

  7. Re: Late 80's / Early 90's Hiphop - The Lesser Heard... Well... they were from a couple of fucking decades ago. If you're a hip hop head then you should already know of 90 percent of the artists posted. Maybe take a deeper look into their music because Naughty had a fucking great stash of songs other than 'OPP' and 'Here we go Now.' 93' till Infinity nigga.
  8. Re: Late 80's / Early 90's Hiphop - The Lesser Heard... Kool Keith aka Dr Octagon Ultramagnetic MC's. Das Efx EPMD And I can always ride with some Naughty by Nature. I'm by far too lazy to look up some vid's though. Peace
  9. Welp, if the swell is up, and the water is rough, chances are the weather is not going to be too great. Thinking mostly of higher winds and how they would effect that janky little thing. A boat is still a better idea. Get a bigger, more seaworthy vessel. Where do you live?
  10. Nesta has got style for fucking daaaayys. One of the nicest hands I've ever seen, anywhere. :scrambled:
  11. Tow-in surfing off of a glacier... this shit is fucking gnar. Alaska: A few years back, a team of pros made an expedition to Antarctica and actually scored some good waves. I'll update with flicks when I get back from Camping. <--- Tahoe bound, peace!
  12. These lefts look fucking scrumptious. To me, the snow on the ground makes it even more inviting. Throw me a Hotline five mil, booties and gloves. I'll be set. One of the most memorable sessions I ever had was in Crescent City (Cali/Oregon border) when it was snowing with a stiff offshore breeze. One of the strangest things about surfing fresh water is the buoyancy factor. No salt = less buoyancy. Bigger, thicker boards are the rule here.
  13. You'd really need to read the book. Obviously. This shit covered EVERYTHING. It's the most information I ever gained from a book. Period, and it's only about 200 pages. It debunks Philosophy. Religion and more. "Other animals are born, seek mates, forage for food and die. That is all. But we humans – we think – are different. We are persons, whose actions are the results of their choices. Other animals pass their lives unawares, but we are conscious. Our image of ourselves is formed from our ingrained belief that consciousness, selfhood and free will are what define us as human beings, and raise us above all other creatures. In our more detached moments, we admit that this view of ourselves is flawed. Our lives are more like fragmentary dreams than the enactments of conscious selves. We control very little of what we most care about; many of our most fateful decisions are made unbeknownst to ourselves. Yet we insist that mankind can achieve what we cannot: conscious mastery of its existence. This is the creed of those who have given up an irrational belief in God for an irrational faith in mankind." Another excerpt: "But what if we give up the empty hopes of Christianity and humanism? Once we switch off the soundtrack – the babble of God and immortality, progress and humanity – what sense can we make of our lives?" In a nutshell, this book talks a lot about the reasons why we humans believe that we are special. What defines humanity and separates us from the rest of the living beings we share earth with? Most would say; conciousness, self awareness, and reason. This book explains all of that. I am not a religious person, and I still had a very hard time accepting and understanding the facts this book lays down. There were times where I would read a page over, and over and over just trying to fully saturate in the fucking knowledge the author is dropping. I'd have to go smoke a j-bird and then come back and read the same page again... and again. Like I was saying, this book flipped my perspective like a puddle of acid in the palm of my hand. Live in the fucking now. If any of you guys do decide to read this, please let me know what you thought.
  14. LOL... FUCK YOU! There is absolutely NOTHING fierce about Concord. Never has been and never will be. Shit is a fucking joke. (Piers! Hot shit bro!)
  15. Sw. Fool is so up right now. So up. Proper props.
  16. Shit is true mayn. These Seaside cats know that they have a good thing and want to keep it uncrowded. Hence the localism. It's enough bad vibes to keep most kooks out of the water. You peep that Lincoln City vid? 25-30 feet and peeling! Like I was saying, the Pacific NW is very slept on as far as surfing goes. British Columbia is off the chiznains. Tofino area... And there are good waves around pretty much every corner all the way down. Alaska and the Aleutian islands are holding as well. Keep in mind that the same exact waves which slam into Hawaii also slam into the Oregon coast. Generated by the same Aleutian storms. The main difference is the cold water and the weather. Winter is when the ocean really comes alive in the Pacific. For us, surfing is not a summer activity, as most would believe.
  17. This book will blow your fucking mental: Changed my life.
  18. laul. There's so many samples, just like this, used by DJ's and producers. Most of them come from old vinyls. I'm talking like 1930's old. Most of these are out of print and are only found by digging through crates at yard sales and antique stores. Instructional and educational vinyls. You're going to need a lot of luck to find out exactly who this sample is. "An object at rest, remains at rest."
  19. Re: UCK I DON'T CARE ANYMORE I HAVE TRIED FOR YEARS. Conscious hip hop. There's nothing fucking emo about it. Seems as if any time an MC waxes poetic about anything other than riches and bitches a lot of you niggas get mad.
  20. Ever wonder what would happen to your city if it was hit by a large nuclear payload? Click here to find out. www.carloslabs.com Pretty simple to use, type your location in the search box. Then select your weapon of choice. Hit nuke it. This one is more sophisticated: http://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/gmap/hydesim.html I live in Livermore, Ca. Home of the United States largest known collection of Uranium. Lawrence Livermore and Sandia Labs. This shithole was top three on Russia's target list during the cold war due to the weapons production and scientific advancement that goes on inside the lab. So I found those websites interesting and figured I'd share. Peace
  21. One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. God bless Dr. Seuss.
  22. Also, is it true that you can die from tooth infections? I did some research online when the left side of my face blew up because of infection, but couldn't find anything substantial.
  23. The yeast in beer can cause some serious problems. If you must drink, do the hard shit. Vodka, Whiskey... etc. I wish I had dental insurance. I have a couple of abcessed teeth with major infections behind them. I've only had one wisdom tooth pulled and I'm 26. The rest of my teeth pretty much look like I've been chewing rocks for years. That or tweeking. I'm probably going to need dentures by the time I'm 35. <Blessed with bad toofs.
