  1. as far as i know you cant make it drippy unless you take out the cotton and use your own ink. the cotton holds the ink so if you took it out then it would have like nothing in it. and flaring the nib doesnt help either. youll just ruin it. pilots are good for clean stuff, but i think that drippy tags that are that skinny look bad and are hard to read. :yuck:
  2. im scrolling through the forums and wondering the same thing myself. i answered this question on like the 4th post. CLOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. okay, this is gayyyyyyyyyy!!! its cheating to use a computer to pick your name. you wont feel any satisfaction from rolling your mouse over a letter. its a lot more having your brain hurt with creaticity trying to think of a name that hasnt been used ever for days, weeks, maybe even a month or to. like i said, gayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! close this thread please before the toys get any lazier or worse...
  4. trying to refil a sharpie is like trying to give it to someone up the butt: its messy, its do-able, but in the end its just not worth it...i know the industrail ones have super strong ink in them, ut theyre not as big. otherwise, you wasted money. sorry bud. ;)
  5. wow! thanks a lot. anywhere i could find old fuses? like specifically without breaking anything that i dont own. luckily i have a dremel! :king:
  6. i dont know. im a mop person. the only marker i use is a pilot. but it probably will. ive had it get too thick after not using it for a while and slow the flow of the paint&thinner in a kiwi before so its probably not a good idea. but its not the same as krink. krink is an actual ink. but basically it looks the same if you get the mix right. i hear the rusto silver looks most like it. someone else on here a few pages back mentioned some brand that works right outta the can. have fun. btw. if someone on here wands to send me some ink or markers for cash or pilots, then help me out cause i cant get anything here in south florida without a credit card and i cant get it sent to my house so i need someoe to send it from their address. pm me if you want. if anyone here lives in 561 and can get it to me in person that would be groovy too.
  7. mineral spirits is like paint thinner. on the front of the cans of paint thinner it might also say mineral spirits. it does on mine. just dont try to use laquer thinner, it seperates from the bucket paint. see in the flick where it says mineral spirits inside that black box i put there? its on a paint thinner can. 8. [attachmentid=20202] [attachmentid=20198] [attachmentid=20199]you think im joking on the crayola markers, im not. actually, to be honest, i bought the rose art because theyre cheaper... i HAD a letter wetter filled with paint and thinner but i guess the mix melted the cap and it was un-save-able...its that a word? anyways. small stash, but im trying to save the thread. :)
  9. i know this doesnt involve a marker, but im wondering what other people use to scratch mirrors/glass. like to etch into them. and no i dont mean using etch bath. i used a 9 volt that i found the other day a few times, but its kinda smoothed out now and doesnt work. until now i havent tried. i figure a cheap CZ would work, but is there something cheaper?
  10. i had one of those letter wetter things today and went to use it and the cap was melted looking and i tried to take it off and the top had melted onto the whole thing. can someone tell me why? inside was paint and thinner if that helps. and is there a way to prevevnt this?
  11. Quoted post haha. i was just confirming for the others. you're not from fba are you? if you are, we've spoken, if not...cool. Quoted post FLA SON! haha. not fba. sorry, see: 561...thats from lauderdale to palm beach! oh and thanks for the lue pen info chumbawumba (sp?)
  12. i had one of those letter wetter things today and went to use it and the cap was melted looking and i tried to take it off and the top had melted onto the whole thing. can someone tell me why? inside was paint and thinner if that helps. and is there a way to prevevnt this? :confused2:
  13. to open it...u turn the top part to the right instead of the left. if you dont know what imean by top part...its the white part under the cap..just twist it to the right. Quoted post [/b] where did you find that and how much was it? and do you have to change the nib or does it work the way it is?
  14. thanks, ill try that. :king: <!--QuoteBegin-casekonly@ Today, 02:31 PM i was browsing this thread the otehr day and saw something about the jumbo pilots at ups stores. confirmed. i dropped by one today on my errands and picked up a pilot broad for $3.59 Quoted post would i lie? maybe, but not this time :innocent:
  15. 1. Marsh is a super permanent ink, basically the only way to find it is online. 2. You have to wear gloves, otherwise theres no way to use it, it shouldn't eat through, but you should bring a couple pairs of gloves just in case and if you want double layer them even though that seems a little extreme to me. 3. Thats the way to go. Thats the way I roll. Unless it's an area that Mr. Buff goes to frequently, then you should use that. You'll save a lot of time and money. If it is a place that gets buffed frequently or you won't be back for a while, use an ink that leaves a ghost so that it lasts. Pilot ink has left a ghost everywhere that I've used it. Just mix the paint and paint thinner until it gets thin enough for you based simply upon if you want it clean or unreadably drippy. Keep it real. ♠
  16. i made a kiwi yesterday and i went to use it and the eraser popped out and the ink exploded. so i tried to melt it on, but it just set the eraser on fire. is there a way to keep it from exploding out when im writing?
  17. UPS store man...a new one was put up and i thought i'd check it out...ya know, labels and stuff there and BAM! there they were, like 30 of them. they had green, blue, red, and black. at the ups store theyre like 4 bucks instead of 6 online try art stores and staples and stuff
  18. I see what you're getting at. I have a strong appreciation for people who know to start with baby steps and don't try to fuckin leap. Since you know what you want your handstyle to look like, just keep going til you find it. Good work. ;) Again, I'm just trying to start off as simple as possible. Thanks for the advice. Seriously, it's something I can definitely work with. Contrary to belief though, I have done the research and continue to. From burners to fat caps, SEEN to COPE2... even Style Wars... I'm trying to do this shit right with the resources that I have. Personally, I don't think I'm at the stage where conforming to traditional throwies would be the best for me.. but it's definitely worth a try. "CCAT" would probably be used in terms of that. Same with the handstyle. I know the type of style I want it to look like and reflect, I just have to practice the style of said letters, get that shit down, then tweak it with a little of my own flavor. Honestly, any worthwhile advice I'm willing to hear. "STFU" or "Stop writing" though motivates me to evolve and push further, doesn't really do much for me. Especially in a thread dedicated to beginners where you already shouldn't be expect that much to begin with. Quoted post [/b]
  19. you're right. idk, i just don't like the throws. and the handstyle, it works, i just have never been a big fan of cursive handstyles.
  20. Throw-ups: NO style there at all. It looks like you drew a bunch of squares with lines in random places. Check out other peoples throws to get some ideas but don't bite. Throws are easy to bite but don't. Research my friend, research. Handstyles: It looks like bad cursive. Again, research.
  21. :love4: i love those colors! nice scheme...what are they?
  22. nail polish remover. ya get paint on your hands, what do you do? nail polish remover scrub the shit off the cap with a piece of cotton or a rag or something and soak it for a while to clean out the inside...common sense buddy, common sense...
  23. well that was about the dumbest comment of all time... "4" by 4" stickers on a stop sign " / "doin more than 15 mph" now if we put them on stop signs, then why would they be goin more than 15 mph? by the way, i'm not one of those people, i just thought it was a stupid comment
  24. oh. thanks anyways. i really appreciate it. if you have any specific products that you know of post em. thanks.
  25. i practice with stock caps, but they kinda suck balls...i guess what im asking is where can i get caps other than online, i live in 561 so if anyone else on here does or can hook me up that would be awesome...
