    BRRrrRRrRrRRRrrrrRR!!!! threads gettin fuckin cold.
  3. didnt you ever try the painting clean thread?? thats honestly your problem. you paint sloppy.
  4. oh, and a nice idea. do any of you have white owls (cigars) in tubes in your areas? they have em in like yellow, red, purple, etc. according to flavor. well, i used one of these, a cap from a shampoo bottle (i used suave) and put a piece of eraser in it. pretty nice fuckin marker. bout as big as a nickel around. i put a little bit of duct tape on it to hold the shampoo cap in pace too. and if you have trouble with the nib staying in place, i melt the opening of the tube alternating every other space to make a nice grip. in fact this works on most markers i make when i have trouble with the nib staying in place. good luck. peace
  5. plus the shit from school mighta killed the mix too. what exactly was it?
  6. yes hekto, but its best you dont spray it directly into your shit. you should spray it into a jar, let it sit overnight, then mix in your paint thinner (only if you need it). peace
  7. black ink- ok, i dont mean to shut down yall chi-town cats griffin hustle, but at http://www.filmart.com/cgi-bin/filmart/GRISDBK25.html you can get griffin 12 bottles for 10.50 (US). silver-ben moore aluminum works or rusto aluminum. whatever. mix 3/4 paint, 1/4 thinner. pow. purple- try throwing a little gentian violet in with some of your recipes. or mix etch with gentian violet. itll leave a nice purple stain where it ate the plastic. (im only recommending you use etch on bus stops newspaper stands etc. and only cuzz its HOTHOTHEAT! i promise.) hope i helped. peace

what DID happen tho this thread? this shit was dope, and now its detox. id like to see another tutorial myself, whered that go?? peace
  16. wish i could cop some garvey. griffin works the shit tho. im still looking for a nice recipe which i can use some gentian violet with tho. so far not much success anywhere yet. but i would like to hear a few recipes. in fact, what the fuck?? ink recipe SUPERthread? ink recipe scramthread maybe. this thread is dying fast. peace
  17. as for putting a hole in the cap it should be done very small as to only allow the air in and not the ink out. maybe a safety pin. no bigger tho. and that deoderant mop would be better off if you melted it a bit here and there on top just to hold the nib in place.
  18. oh, and make sure whatever you do, put 3/4 paint, 1/4 paint thinner or mineral spirits or whatever.... oh and 420pass, i never tried cologne, could you tell me how it works out??? as for marker smell and inking power. peace
  19. ok, first off, you cant mix ink with oil, so the bike chain shit is out. second, being that your ink is made partly with water, it may not mix well with the waterproofing liquid. tho im only assuming there. finally as for your brake fluid, ive personally found it works better in paint recipes better than in ink recipes, unless you mix the ink with a strong dye like griffin. also, make SURE your brake fluid is - dot3 - otherwise your wasting your time and will ruin your tags. and one other thing use a slightly small amount of brake fluid, as it will thicken your recipe fairly significantly. good luck. peace <!--QuoteBegin-tnulbehtssap024@May 24 2005, 08:46 AM hay ive ben trying different things for markers and i was wondering if there is any way i can use acrylic paint in a marker Quoted post yup, but make sure you mix it with something that stains pretty hard. and make sure it isnt waterbased acrylic. its usually weatherproof, but itll be fairly easy to buff tho. whatever it does the job anyhow. peace
  20. can you get a picture of that sharpie by any chance??
  21. btw that elmers markers pretty dope, but it looks messy, i think you could use a cap from a bottle of suave shampoo or something to keep it from leaking. put a little duct tape on the bottle so the cap will have something to grip to too. peace
  22. when thats empty fill it with 3/4 aluminum rusto bucket paint and 1/4 paint thinner or mineral spirits, put a chalkboard eraser in for the nib. and then it'll be a second time marker and it'll kick some serious silver ass. or for a dark color just use some griffin and some dot3 motor oil and a little paint thinner/min spirits and voila! ... and a tip. when you fold the eraser to put it in as a nib, slice it the long way with a razor while its folded in half, helps it to flow better. good luck. peace
