  1. ok, first off, you cant mix ink with oil, so the bike chain shit is out. second, being that your ink is made partly with water, it may not mix well with the waterproofing liquid. tho im only assuming there. finally as for your brake fluid, ive personally found it works better in paint recipes better than in ink recipes, unless you mix the ink with a strong dye like griffin. also, make SURE your brake fluid is - dot3 - otherwise your wasting your time and will ruin your tags. and one other thing use a slightly small amount of brake fluid, as it will thicken your recipe fairly significantly. good luck. peace <!--QuoteBegin-tnulbehtssap024@May 24 2005, 08:46 AM hay ive ben trying different things for markers and i was wondering if there is any way i can use acrylic paint in a marker Quoted post yup, but make sure you mix it with something that stains pretty hard. and make sure it isnt waterbased acrylic. its usually weatherproof, but itll be fairly easy to buff tho. whatever it does the job anyhow. peace
  2. can you get a picture of that sharpie by any chance??
  3. btw that elmers markers pretty dope, but it looks messy, i think you could use a cap from a bottle of suave shampoo or something to keep it from leaking. put a little duct tape on the bottle so the cap will have something to grip to too. peace
  4. when thats empty fill it with 3/4 aluminum rusto bucket paint and 1/4 paint thinner or mineral spirits, put a chalkboard eraser in for the nib. and then it'll be a second time marker and it'll kick some serious silver ass. or for a dark color just use some griffin and some dot3 motor oil and a little paint thinner/min spirits and voila! ... and a tip. when you fold the eraser to put it in as a nib, slice it the long way with a razor while its folded in half, helps it to flow better. good luck. peace
  5. i think they are kind of shitty. they break easy too. i use a shoe polish bottle. make my own ink, remove the top plastic piece, burn it a little (burn like every other spot, get me?) this melts the plastic to hold my nib in place, then i fill er up fold my eraser shove it in there cap it up, POW bust a nice drippy tag. peace
  6. sharpie? no. waste of time. go for griffin or some other shoe dye, or even better yet, read back a few pages, theres a lot of recipes in here. peace.

  11. no doubt man. hey can you get a pic of the markers you are using so i can see em. and how do they work and how much ink did they give up?
  12. maybe your best bet there would be to try dripping or injecting with an eyedropper some paint thinner;mineral spirits;nail polish remover etc. in that bitch, catch it in something that paint thinner or whatever doesnt eat through (thin plastic, cups etc.) and give it a shot. peace.

  15. i personally think griffin kicks ass, but unfortunately like everyone else, i cant find it anywhere. i had a bottle, used it and liked it, it hits some nice tags, but i think it would be better mixed. sadly i never gotta chance to really mess with it enough tho. heres a question, i made a chapstick mop, but it wont flow well, and certainly doesnt drip... does anyone have any good recipes that are good for dripping and good flow for a chapstick mop. please note... i dont have the best access to scientific shit n all, and i dont wanna order nothing online either. just wanna a nice drippy simple ink recipe is all... thank you. peace
