  1. That shit right there looks distinctly vaginal.
  2. also perry ellis is hit and miss. but when it hits it hits well.
  3. if your going to read that yeats shit you should read t.s. elliots the wasteland instead. Google it. Its pretty fresh.
  4. Something about that makes me want to tell you its not as awesome as you think. But really it was. So kudos.
  5. I'm not sure if that was induced by poor command of the english language or just straight ninjaness. Either way I don't think I could of gotten a better reply.
  6. My old roomate crashed into a parked car on the dodgy reverse park tip. Left a note, caught dudes on the way out and told them about it. (They were just highschool kids) so there dad rolled up and said he'd call her with a quote. Dude called her and met up the other day all apoligetic and shit. Turns out the damage is somewhere aroung 1 and half to two grand. It wasn't didn't look like much damage, like I said, she was parking. But it apparenttly it was in some fucked up spot that can't be pannel beaten or some shit. She's not insured. Wackness.
  7. I like how crew members have been blantantly ignoring requests to close threads lately. Some one will be like "ohh theres already a thread on music. Ok close this shit" and some mod will come up with "you know what good? blah blah blah. You should check that. and blah blah blah you need to listen to that shit right there". It kind of reminds of when someone hits a sensitive topic and instead of talking about something else the person on the other side will ask a whole bunch of intrusive questions. "So your wife died of cancer? What kind of cancer? Did you dream about her? What did you do with all her clothes?" In this particular case I dig it.
  8. I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about ? Kid all that sideways cap rocking, broken english speaking, gold teething blinging (no offence seldoon) has rusted your brain. You tell me why what I've said is wrong. And then maybe you'll be worth more then a pudle of jizz in a pro's belly button. Otherwise stay in paperchase for real la real dukes.
  9. hahaha, I like this one. You should make a web sit with all of them on it.
  10. Cool thread and the fact that this whole crew have some weird thing about rocking leather jackets while bombing can only add to that shit.
  11. I've had atleast five conversations this year about that shit. He's like a cult version of David Hasselhoff or something
  12. You're obviously not paying attention to Doom because he flows backbeat and the vocals aren't over-produced. I'm only rhyming where the drums is at Y'all niggaz think y'all slick wit that bullshit bump that Y'all pay V for flowing to the beat Not for what he know that got hoe's hoeing in the streets That's for him to know And for they to never find out About the kidnap, blind fold, and the blind mouse The coroner report say he simply signed out oh And I know Y'all wanna see a wino bring the wine out Cat wit a dead mouse is how he catch the phrase and pause plays wit it Kill it And eat off it for days kid it Who ever ain't get it ain't supposed to For standing still close to Bandits will ghost you No shoot Sherlock I don't know how they do on your block Out here we rock on to the sure shot Shit still ain't stop keep it on till your peeps is gone We be on the creep no matter what you keep it on CD whop V! Catch the beat to ridiculously People think he study levitations true mystery How to power an envious scallon till he got him for his sweet 16 He said Ed be wilding Rumor has it things got violent He clobbered him and broke the fuck out But he ain't try to rob him I told her don't tell your man that's the trouble with these chicks Next experiment Twelve strands from double helix No I haven't seen Kess Felix Oh yeah You stay away from her with those lyrics Please Aint nobody fuckin after her I'm out of here as soon as I fix the flux capacitor N O N and speak to V in a proper manner before he stabs ya and put out all type of propaganda Stop the slander Chop the hand of a thief And cut the mouth off of who ever comes out they teeth V sell time to an inmate And then tell him a rhyme for the hell of it to demonstrate They know who's the renown beat critic Do a street lyric like that's a neat trick Off on a tangent He ain't got a cent Supposed to go to management and spent it getting bent Sparky I had enough of your malarkey For one don't mark me and who you calling darky Quoted post [/b] So I read half of that then stopped. To be honest, I still think that shits wack. What you call "not overproduced" I call sloppy. I'll admit I have a special preference at the moment for mcee's who layer their vocal takes to get a rich sound, but at the end of the day I just like good vocal takes however dude got them. Krs ones vocals are a good example. On lots of his old tracks they are every bit "not over produced" as that MF shit but they still sound good because the prescence is there and the diction is there. I don't think Mf doom has any of that. As for that 3/4 time over a 4/4 beat style or whatever its meant to be. I'd like it , or atleast appreciate it if I could see the guy had worked on the style some, and crafted it. But it doesnt sound well crafted at all.. Its just some dude rapping off beat and sounding wack while doing it. A good example of a group who rap off beat but still are worthwhile are this Australian group called celcius, get there self titled debut and you'll see the difference. Lastly, I'm sorry, but personally I thought all that shit in that ryme was the type of content I've heard over and over. Possibly with the exception of that line about paying v for ryming on the beat but not for what he knows. I thought that was clever. But even thats the same thing I've been hearing all these decade. We all know about the problems of making marketable music and industry injustice and all that ish. Thats just me though, keep listening to it if you feel it. I still don't understand why you do, but thats cool. Personally I think I'm going to smash the buzzer on my alarm and give the whole Mf revolution a fucking miss. On a side note, whoever recommended purple rain by prince- thumbs up. on.
  13. Mero should do a series of replies to letters like this. That'de be hhhhot.
  14. some one can hold their liquor. ;)
  15. fucks up with that hand that just comes out of nowhere. Kind of looks like he's slapping the guy on the forhead like "BOP! Way to get hit by a bottle stupid" That would suck though,
  16. If you can't even call her how are you going to woo her and shit? And how did you even get her number ?
  17. Aussie hip hop sucks with the exception of maybe 3 groups ...thats just out of what I've heard of the stuff I guess ... and 26 I'll respond to the above when I can be fucked reading some of those lyrics (i.e. tommorow or something ) On.
  18. Thought I'd add the following hip hop records I actually do like. Arrested Development- 3 years, 5 months and 2 days in the life of. .. Atmosphere- Godloves Ugly Krs one- Edutainment. No doubt someone or another will have someshit to say about the last two. But whatever, they are both good albums. Godlovesugly- Vocal takes are the way I like them, well layered, strong and with a sense of rythm. Rymes come with a different approach. Less concerned with flow and more concerned with the way the actual words sound together and the effects of them. Beats are well made and well layered with sounds. (All of that shit is unlike some other rappers I've heard :cough: doom :cough:) Krs one- Rythmically awesome (dude swings on snares like an orangotan). Delivery is always powerfull as is the general sound of his voice. Beats have a raw funk which is fucking great. Politically orientated lyrics with a simple funky flow, its just right for what he's trying to do. On a side note Another good example of a rapper who tries to educate people and says his shit simply so you'll understand but still makes it sound good is a uk dude called Braintax. Get his birofunk lp. I think alot of people don't take those albums seriously because they're too cool for it. Like they think of Atmosphere and think of emo chicks and want to be hip hop hipsters and they think of Krs one and think of snotty nosed backpack kids who really really want to be hip hop. But fuck that shit. Those albums are well made and lyrically worthwhile. I couldn't care less who else is listening to that shit and whether they understand why its worth listen to. End Rant.
  19. Got the Can album ages ago. Definately on my list of must haves. Same with the Joy Division one. Charisma looks straight out of the Fresh Prince era. I may or may not check it. All the hip hop I've gotten so far isn't really floating my boat. With the exception of the roots and a couple others. At the moment I'm just feeling like most rappers don't have shit to say thats worth hearing. Thanks anyway. Feel free to proove me wrong.
  20. Checked out pugslee atomz. It was pretty good. Dude puts way to much reverb on his voice though. It makes him sound kind of cold and robotic. Still much better than MF doom.
  21. Sounds promising. I'll check it out. I'm also checking out Sony Rollins Saxaphone Collosus and Led Zepelin's Physical Graffiti. I forgot to mention I bought the ROIR tape ages ago. Its a good call one of my fav's.
  22. So I checked out some of these. First the ones I liked Yesterdays New Quintet- Angles without edges. This album was great, or atleast the tracks I listened to of it were. I'll listen to the whole thing soon. The improv in the first track made me like them instantly. Bjork- Vespertine I've decided Bjork is like a scary version of Enya. I remember seeing that "sail away" clip in my pre teens and at the time I liked it. So its all good (thats right I liked enya when I was 10 or something, deal with it suckers) Boards of Canada- Music has the right to children. Some familiar samples from the few tracks I listened to. Dont know if I could listen to the whole album straight through. But mixed in with other shit its a pleasant addition. The Roots- Illadelphia Halflife I really should of had this ages ago. I knew what to expect and knew I'd probably dig it. and I was right Now the ones I didn't like. Mf Doom- operation doomsday Sometime last year when Mf doom was getting really popular I thought I should check out some of his stuff. So I did. And I thought I'd never listen to him again. Then I forgot why I thought that. This album reminded me. I can't see what people like about this shit. The vocal takes are sloppy. The beats, while some are nice loops are just repetative. I listened to the first song then turned that shit off. Del the funkee homosapian- No need for alarm I can see why some people would say its the shit. Its well made. But I'm tired of rappers rapping about the same stuff over and over. So I turned it off like I did with doom. At the Drive In- Relationship of Command Its just not my cup of tea. I can't explain why. Maybe I'll give it another chance but for now the love factor is zero. Iron maiden- Number of the beast Once again I can see why people would like this. it was actually one of the first things I downloaded because I like that "Hallow be thy Name Song". But its kind of cheesy and I've had enough cheese for the time being. Maybe over the next few months I will wake up one morning and say "fuck yeah, I want some heavy guitar fromage". But not at the moment sorry. I didn't listen to all the songs on these albums so if you want to defend them with specifics then feel free. Thanks for all the suggestions. My music folder is now lagging my computer. Its made me a happy man. Carry on.
  23. I'm adding Can- Ege Bamyasi to the list. Not only is it a great and classic sounding album, the name sounds like a dope noodle dish. As for all the suggestions, thanks, I've checked out of few of them. But I'll reply when I've had more sleep and time and shit. Shai- Thanks for the suggestions on the other cash and de la albums. I'd hit you up on soulseek but I don't go to the 12oz room. I'm not the most internet literate cat in town. You dig? Anyway. Carry on
  24. So I recently discovered that I have free unlimited downloads in the place that I'm living at. It also just occured to me that I'm moving out of here in a month or so. As a result I've completely freaked out and started downloading shit like a malaysian bootlegger. So recommend me some whole albums that you think I , and everyone else, should have in their collection. (I did a search and was suprised to see I could find any threads like this). If you like I'll listen to them then let you know what I thought of them here. I say everyone should have Le Tigre- self titled debut Johnny Cash- American 4 (When the Man Comes Around) and... De La Soul- De La Soul is Dead. go.
