  1. Re: WOWIE! what you are describing sounds like an olive oil defuser. you put olive oil in it and spray. i have one in my kitchen and get good use out of it but not graff suitable. you have to pump it before every use and as far as the compressed air propelent goes, it wont hold too many pumps so it only sprays in short low pressure bursts(you would have to stop half way through a tag to pump the pressure back up :stretch: ) and it would be hard to form an even and consistant line due to the spray pattern. its just not a practical idea but its nice to see kids working on experimental thoughts. :stretch: it would be like pumping up a car tire with one of those old school bicycle tire pumps.
  2. so how did it work out for you when you took it to the street?
  3. so... is this an idea you tried out after you right-clicked on COPY and PASTE or is it something that you just find to be interesting?
  4. refilling magnums... interesting. there is something i dont like about magnums. not sure if its the nibs or the ink, or a combination of the two. i havent used a magnum in something like 6 years. they never felt to smooth, like the nib would never break in properly and the ink flow just couldnt suit my taste. are they less awkward if you refill them with your choice ink?
  5. damn i thought you were just talking shit at first... are you serious?!! whats the neighborhood coming to?
  6. if you tried staples... try them again. they carry the dry erase kind in the marker section and the chalk board erasers in the school supply section.
  7. damn the C.V. POWDER is mad expensive. $12+ for 10g. it would be cheaper just to buy some garvey. really rubbish, have you ever bought this stuff? is it worth it? i mean is there that much of a difference between that and G.V. SOLUTION? if it is worth while and you know where to get it cheaper, it would be chill if you could e-mail me a hint. mas apologies if it seems i'm all on your ass about this but i am trying to mix a true monster ink and i dont want it to cost a fortune. just looking for some compedent advice but the recipe is original. respect to those deep-rooted

  9. rubbish... did i read somewhere in this beast of a thread that gentian violet comes in a concentrate powder form? i thought you mentioned it in a post, but looking back through i cant seem to find it. i thought it was only available as a solvent.
  10. damn, i wish i could remember the name of the distro company. the sticker on my mini is faded and covered in ink spills. tomorrow i am gonna try to get a few oldschool nibs through this art supply guy that has hooked up in the past. it would help to know the name of the old supplier, even if their out of business now.
  11. so what was the name of the company that original made the mini's? wasnt it in st paul or somewhere close to there? i cant remember the name or location.
  12. i dont know man, if you give those mini's a gentle squeeze when you write, your handstyles will drown in ink. my mini is my favorite tool.
  13. yea, thats nice that you got the hook-up. sooo, the main difference between the new and old nibs is that the new ones are more stiff and dont provide a good ink flow? i wish i would have known that even the nibs were different. its probably impossible to find the old nibs now. hey omen duex... if you want to sell a brother a single old school mini nib, give me a price but if i was you i wouldnt come off those nibs. i'm going fishing for some right about now. i think i know where to find some of the old nibs before there all gone.
  14. i've never seen any replacement nibs on primo before. thats phat that they hooked you up. is there a big difference between the old and new mini wide nibs? i still have an old one in my mini.
  15. the reason violets are the longest lasting stain is because there are 3 primary colors: red, yellow, and blue. as far as the molecules that make up these three colors, the blue molecules are the largest, red being the second largest, and yellow the smallest. being that the red and blue molecules are larger, once they are lodged into a pourous surface they are more resist to removal where as the yellow molecules are smaller and can be removed from pourous surfaces with greater ease. thats why if you ghost with iodine the result is more redish brown because the underlining pigmentation of iodine is yellowish-redish and the reds fill better than the yellows. orange minus yellow equals red. speaking of iodine, i found some for real cheap. never personally used it in my inks before though. anyone here have a good color recipe designed for use with iodine instead of gv? please share with rinse.
  16. yup, another thread for ink-tinkering i know there are ink and marker threads already but i'm not in the mood to sift through 8 pages to see if a thread may or may not have a vague answer to my question. so what is the difference between NERO and MARSH inks. does nero have more staining power? is there a difference in consistancy? curious because i have gathered all of the elements for a new series of ink doctoring except for two. one of these being the main ingredient, ink. i've used marsh before but not nero, so i'm wondering how it stacks up. which ink mixes the best and which ink has the greatest lasting power? here is a chance for all you ink-tinkerers to flex some grey-matter. oh and rubbish... your input is greatly anticipated. namaste'.

    Handstyles

nice work spec, that style is crucial... simplistic & smooth. everytime i peep a style like that i catch myself in a stare. bouncekraze-the character is good lookin', i likes it.
